YT is having a rough season. Exploration and mining are slow at best. Not a large amount of operators hiring low timers here, particularity at this time of year. Next spring Whitehorse Air Services, Tintina Air, Great River Air or Alkan Air may take be worth stopping into and saying gidday.

Thanks PE for the update on activity around YT currently, and the list of potential operators for next spring.

Parakeet Aviation? Checked a few sites (including Transport), came up with nothing.

Once summer comes to a close you might check your luck in MB, and NWO. Lakeside Aviation in Pine Dock MB, Superior in Red Lake which operates year round on wheels (206 and PA31) and Bamaji or Slate Falls in Sioux Lookout who run wheeled winter ops off the ice strip.

Perhaps try your luck now. Maybe work as a dock hand for the rest of the summer with the agreement that if a wheeled seat opens up its yours. All four operators I listed hire low time pilots regularly.

Thanks for the info, Upintheair.....

Two of those locations are on my list to stop by for a visit. The other two I wasn't aware of wheeled C206 operation, so will definitely check them out. Much appreciated.....

Lakeside Aviation. Based out of Gimili, operates in Pine Dock. C206.

Also worth it to call Jason Freisen at NorAlta in Fort Vermillion, Alberta.

Don't bother with the Yukon, very few low timer jobs.
