MH370 possibly found!
There is a possibility that debris from MH370 has been found in the Indian ocean! I hope it's true.....it would help solve one of the greatest aviation mysteries.

From what you see, do you think that comes from a 777?boeingboy wrote:There is a possibility that debris from MH370 has been found in the Indian ocean! I hope it's true.

It doesn't seem to be to scale.
Would it have the range to get that far?

Dont know - if it is...it looks like a fore-flap. Someone will need to check identifying marks. From what you see, do you think that comes from a 777?
Caught for a year in the Indian ocean currents - anything is possible.Would it have the range to get that far?

Similitudes incroyables entre le flaperon d'un #B777 et le débris retrouvé ce matin à #LaReunion... #MH370 ?

Re: MH370 possibly found!
Looks promising.
I am assuming it floated ashore. Would it actually help that much in finding the actual wreck or just add a small piece to the puzzle? It's at least a step in the right direction. Hopefully more to come.

Yes, I see that. The gyre fits in with it showing up there.boeingboy wrote:Dont know - if it is...it looks like a fore-flap. Someone will need to check identifying marks. From what you see, do you think that comes from a 777?

From the Guardian story...
It does seem small when you look at it beside people standing there.A French aviation specialist, Xavier Tytelman, who was sent the photos by a contact on Réunion has highlighted the similarity of the debris to the flaperon – part of the wing – on a 777 plane, but other experts have expressed doubt whether the part is large enough to have come from a wide-body passenger airliner.

Re: MH370 possibly found!
If it is a flaperon, as people are saying, it won't be a very big surface as Boeing surfaces go.

Re: MH370 possibly found!
Any Boeing people here that can weigh in on what the "BB670" number reportedly found on the piece would signify?
Re: MH370 possibly found!
Not off hand. It would help to see a pic of the number - it's possible that it's a partial number. Usually parts are stamped with the part number and a manufacture date. It could also be a manufacture code or a panel number.Any Boeing people here that can weigh in on what the "BB670" number reportedly found on the piece would signify?
I doubt it's a flaperon - it looks too small. It's probably a fore flap.
Re: MH370 possibly found!
OK BB670 is the 777 zone identifier.

Wing trailing edge flap fairings. It is farther broken down from there.
Check out 06-30-00 pg. 222 then go to 06-44-00 pg. 234 and up for illistrations.

Re: MH370 possibly found!
Thanks for the references, boeingboy. It will be interesting to see what it's finally identified as!
As for the size of the found item, vs the size of the flaperons, my real world observation of them has only been from my preferred window seat near the back of the plane, so my reference is pretty sketchy. Looks like a reasonable match to me though, comparing pics/videos online.

There couldn't be a more appropriate name for an Island.

There is now a report of a damaged suitcase being found in the same area.

I'm no conspiracy theorist at all, but given the odd nature of everything right from the start, I just had a feeling it would take about this long before something to be "found".
Why was it transported with much fanfare under heavy security and police guard??
Just one big convenient piece washed up on a beach. Hm.

Re: MH370 possibly found!
And apparently part of a suitcase. And one of the residents of Reunion claims to have found an aircraft seat. And as time goes one more things are likely to wash up. They want to make absolutely certain that they've found part of MH370 before confirming it, and they haven't even done that with a big aircraft part covered in serial numbers; it's probable there's more stuff on the beach, but they don't want to reveal anything and risk angering people if they're wrong until they can say with certainty that it's from that aircraft in particular.DanWEC wrote:Just one big convenient piece washed up on a beach. On Aug 2nd 2015 Malaysia's Transport Ministry announced that the aircraft part found on Jul 29th 2015 at Reunion has been officially identified as a flaperon of a Boeing 777. The part has been taken to Toulouse and has been identified as a flaperon by experts of French Authorities, experts from Boeing, the NTSB, Malaysia Airlines and Malaysia's Accident Investigation Team. Malaysia has been reaching out of Aviation Authorities in the region to watch out in case more debris is being washed ashore which would permit more substantial analysis and perhaps more clues what happened to missing MH-370.

Re: MH370 possibly found!
You'd have more credibility claiming to have had such a feeling if you'd mentioned it *before* something was found. Like, "I have a feeling something will be found in a week or two".DanWEC wrote:I'm no conspiracy theorist at all, but given the odd nature of everything right from the start, I just had a feeling it would take about this long before something to be "found".
So you can ask questions about why it was transported under heavy security and guard, of course! The people in charge of the conspiracy like to act suspicious, it tickles their sense of humour. Would Purolator make you happier?DanWEC wrote: Why was it transported with much fanfare under heavy security and police guard??
DId you hear the one about the jurisprudence fetishist? He got off on a technicality.

Then I'd look too suspicious and I don't want to go through that again..... Dodging that Lindbergh baby mess took everything out of me.photofly wrote:You'd have more credibility claiming to have had such a feeling if you'd mentioned it *before* something was found. Said it plenty of times in that world past the computer screen, but I must not have solidified it into truth on Avcanada.

I think we forget that life is weird. It's when things run smoothly for too long that I start to get suspicious that the Bilderbergers are behind it.DanWEC wrote: Just my opinion. I'll reiterate, not a conspiracy theorist. Everything about it was just so damn weird. Tragic loss of life though.

Re: MH370 possibly found!
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/06/world ... rrer=&_r=0A person involved in the investigation said, however, that experts from Boeing and the National Transportation Safety Board who had seen the object, a piece of what is known as a flaperon, were not yet fully satisfied, and called for further analysis. Their doubts were based on a modification to the flaperon part that did not appear to exactly match what they would expect from airline maintenance records
I hope you didn't throw out your tinfoil.
