I don't even know why I am doing this, it's over...the sheeple got their man and now we will pay for it... for years and years, but yay, you won, the man is gone congratulations.
Re: federal vote 2015
Well, the PM designate just completed a news conference taking unscripted questions from the press - itself a giant leap forward (back) to an open, accessible government. He did pretty good.cdnpilot77 wrote:I don't even know why I am doing this, it's over...the sheeple got their man and now we will pay for it... for years and years, but yay, you won, the man is gone congratulations.
In my mind "sheeple" are those that accept despicable conduct on the part of their leaders for the pathetically lame reason that they think the other guys would do the same. Why are you so afraid of giving someone else a crack at it?

At least my American dollar will continue to get stronger as your dollar plummets over the next 5 years! It'll help me pay my loans (which are in Canadian $$) off!

Crippling debt by design! Budgets don't balance themselves! The tax burden that is inevitable now! The pie in the sky projections and promises!
The taxes and policies which will force small business to close up shop or move to other countries. The conservatives were castigated for being pro-big business. The ironic part is that the policies Trudeau will bring in will deplete the small businesses and give large corporations much more opportunity to expand or if their tax burden is too high they will just relocate headquarters to Mexico or the US and run satellite operations in Canada. Thus minimizing their tax hit, removing high paid jobs and reducing revenue for the government. So, where will they get the needed revenue from? Well you and I of course. Can't take more from the low income, they just don't have any left to give. Once again, the middle class, which is arguably the richest in the world, will be crushed yet again.
So, what am I afraid of? That you and I and thousands of others will needlessly lose our well paid jobs as the economy is crunched because of inane policies. A legitimate concern for a mid 30's working stiff with 3 kids under 3, a mortgage and car payments wouldn't you say?

Pfffft!
The same things were said of the Cretin, and he retired almost as much debt as Harper created. One day you're going to wake up and realize Canada hasn't imploded as you now gullibly believe. And just maybe Trudeau Jr. will make good on his promise to restore Canada's democracy that Harper has systematically eroded while you were sleeping. If not, there's another election in four years.

Re: federal vote 2015
4years isn't enough to destroy an economy? Super, that make me feel so much better! So you will co-sign my mortgage then right, since you are so certain and 4 years is just a stone throw so no biggie right? Maybe I can just live off my credit cards for those years which I would never be able to pay back, oh wait, that's exactly what the government is doing, great, Thanks!Rockie wrote:Pfffft!

Jeez, lighten up with the economic armageddon prophesies. Youve got the drama dialled up to 500%.

Everything about the Conservative government was the apocalypse to you...Rockie wrote:Jeez, lighten up with the economic armageddon prophesies. Pretty soon even you'll start to believe it.

Re: federal vote 2015
Read again the few things I listed above, all of which are facts. You'll notice none of them have anything to do with the economy which somehow managed to stagger along despite Harper's inept handling of it and the abject failure to do anything but pile on even more debt.
Despite your overwrought wailing governments are largely unable to control the direction of the economy in this connected, global market and can only really react to it.

None of which are legitimate or sound reasons to dislike the man. The ridiculous media fueled Harper hate has made your country look ridiculous.

Rockie, I think you are in for a surprise in a big way! Hope those Rose coloured glasses don't turn completely opaque.
Re: federal vote 2015
Oh, I have no doubt junior will be a disappointment in some way, but ruin the economy? I don't think so. He doesn't have the ability to even if he wanted to and got the worst advice on the planet, which he won't.

So, Conservatives win the straw poll, Liberals win the real one; Rockie and Cdnpilot77 fight to an exasperated draw..
