Assesment Session: outside FIR?
I have a question regarding the assessment session. My understanding is that recruitment occurs within a FIR. Is it at all possible to be assessed outside of the region you are in? If it is, would you then be constrained within the FIR you were tested at for the remainder of the process?
Re: Assesment Session: outside FIR?
When I did my assessment for the YWG FIR, they had asked 2 people from the Gander area to join,
They did say that you stay in the FIR you do your assessment in. If you are waiting for an assessment, you can call the recruitment center to see if you can take your assessment in another FIR, but if you do, your application is now moved to that FIR for the remainder of the application.
Thats what I was told, but you should call or email the recruitment center to confirm.

Re: Assesment Session: outside FIR?
Just finished my tests today.
I was told that I could stay in the Edmonton FIR but also that the Winnipeg FIR was hiring and if I let Navcanada know, they could switch my application to Winnipeg's FIR. She said that it was best to do this after the second interview that way I could be interviewed in my "home" FIR and not have to do the interview in Winnipeg. So it is possible yo switch but you can only be considered and in the hiring process for one FIR at a time.
