I want to die like my grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming in terror like his passengers...
I heard of one interview that consisted of 6 HR type questions (tell us about yourself, why do you want to work for AC, and so on) that took 30 mins. then it was off to medical. No word on course date.
1900 CPT, not sure of education, TT, or if spoken french.
Sounds pretty stright forward.
No worries pratts, I'm sure the phone will be ringing soon enough...
Cheers.

I know people with above 2000hrs that actually have been hired. I also know of one with less then 2000hrs who had an interview. So i think the 2000hr cutoff myth has been busted.
The one I know that has been hired would have had less than 4000 but more than 2000. She was right seat in a multi turbine that's under 12500lbs and I believe she wasn't bilingual (I could be mistaken on this one). She has an aviation technology diploma. She's under 30.
There is a reason...The dart landed on their resume.
Sounds like AC is going to require a new format on resumes being sent in: that of a bingo ball. Because thats about how much sense this "lottery" type calling for interviews is making.
Oh, well, maybe I'll get lucky.
Cheers.

Not so fast. They're probably forking out some cash.

Never point your aircraft to some place your brain hasn't already been 5 minutes earlier.
From a well placed source at AC:
The applicant search engine is picking up candidates with University Degrees, Aviation College Diploma or Military. If you have one of these then the search is in my opinion further refined to establish your experience level and probably age. I also know of some pilots from Jazz that did not have any of the above, so I can only assume they are exempt from the education requirment.
This is how it is... my advice if you don't have a degree concentrate on pursuing your career elsewhere (or get a degree) and if AC calls then so much the better...
I just wanted to provide some feedback on my application process to AC. I interviewed in the 3rd week of July and I was just assigned a class date of 8-29-05. As I mentioned in previous posts, I provided some feedback re: my interview at http://www.aviationinterviews.com .

They never told me specifically how people would be notified. That may have been left out b/c I had to rush from my interview to the Medical. However, my friend was told (something of this nature) that all applicants would receive a certified letter within a month regardless of outcome. I know medical results take ~ 1 week because they did tell me that.
