First two are scheduled to arrive at the very end of 2017. Realistically I'd call it 2018 for an official start.

I think it is anticipated to start January 4th. I don't think it as yet been confirmed.

To date 3 pilots have gone from GGN to AC through the PML.

This news might already be known by some, if not most of you, but just got news that the plan is still to hire 160-180 new hires by July 2016. Three ground schools with 20 pilots each are planned but the end of 2015 (some maybe already underway). The rest in the new year...
Looking pretty good if you ask me.
Good luck to all of you.

 Well there was one course forecast to start on Nov 27th. Two more in that timeframe is just good news! Hopefully they will pick guys out from the pool! :D

The rumour had it reopen for Feb 2016 but with the last updated news about the hiring I wouldn't be surprise to see it open before that.

Any word on what the mix was for the Nov course? I'm assuming 80% Jazz, what about the others? Poolies, ggn or Sky?

Nice to see some sustained hiring.

Assuming the application window opens in January for courses in Feb 2016 then 160 pilots in 5 months = 30pilots/ month,
not sure on how the flow will come into play here so I guess 20% of 160 = 32 pilots from OTS in 5 months = about 6/ month

80% from Jazz.

Seems lately there are an additional 2 per course from Georgian and 2 from Skyregional. Not sure how many OTS spots that leaves available in the 20%.

Skyregional has announced internally that it is hiring 108 pilots for just 5 additional aircraft. That may imply anticipated attrition of 40+ pilots over the next 6-8 months. That certainly matches up with 2 spots per course at AC.

If you're right, it means 0% out of the pool (OTS) :(

So virtually no new hires just 160 pilots as per flow through

No. 160-180 new hires at Air Canada in the next 7 months.

Express/OTS/Pool... Whatever you want to label it they are new hires at AC.

Did they "flow through" based on seniority or was it just magic and one day they just decided to switch LOL

Three people from GGN have been hired already, a few other guys have course dates for 2016.

Another six guys from Air Georgian have been called for interviews. Seems like the PML is working pretty well so far...

Oddly quiet here....

I assume the old poolies got "conditional" job offers before Xmas. Anyone get course dates?

Any comments on the latest ratios for OTS?
