Odd Instrument Question

Post by Tylerjohnston »

Hey all,

Im having mixed opinions on my situation right now and was hoping that someone could help me out. Im a 200hr guy, trained in Florida therefore I had to convert my FAA to Transport Canada. I did my last checkride (Multi Commercial) in October of 2014, which served completion of FAR 61.57 ( Instrument Currency ) This is also the last time I did any instrument flying. After a year of both governments playing phone tag etc.. I received my CPL SMEL Group 1, with an issue date of November 20th 2015.
So my question is, is my Group 1 Valid in Canada since it was issued on November 20th 2015?

Might be stupid question, but I am so confused.

Cheers

Currency is still an issue, it would begin from the date of your last ride.

"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."
