Sault College for Aviation?

Post by LikeABird »

How reputable is the aviation program at Sault College in general? Also, does Jazz or Air Georgian still hire the top graduates from the program? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ain't likely to go from zero to airline hero.

Get your CPL as fast and as cheap as possible, the "reputation" of a program is a marketing term, building your time in a tailwheel or glider while holding down a job, like commission sales or bartending, and having a good work ethic will put you years ahead of any senica, confed, etc grad.

200ish hr 172 CPLs, looking for not only their first flying job, but their first adult job are a dime a dozen, stand out from the herd.

I believe some years the top one or two students out of like 40 that graduate get the opportunity to have an interview with Jazz, it's no guarantee of employment and even if you do pass the interview you're not directly hired you're placed in a hiring pool. If you're the best of the best maybe you have a chance to get on with Jazz but it seems like a crap shoot so I wouldn't base my decision to go to a school on the slim chance of getting hired.
