Think of the suit as an investment for your future. You spend money to make money. I'm sure you're going to say "well it's not like I'll get my money back on the suit". Trust me. You'll wear it again. Weddings, parties, formal dinners. Oh wait. Those are social events. Yeah you may only wear it once.NickyNick wrote:
Why would I be denied a position because I'm responsible with my money? Going in to debt for a suit to wear once is not good. I do not want to be grouped with all those that owe $1.65 per $1.00 made and shouldn't be denied a position.

Re: Up Coming Interview
My sim is booked in YUL. Anyone know what that's about? I've only read of the evaluations happening in YYZ and YVR. I am booked for next week if it matters

Re: Up Coming Interview
Nothing really too odd about it, I know of a few people who had an eval in YUL. Good luck.

Re: Up Coming Interview
Thanks!
I just hadn't heard about them being conducted there before. I wasn't sure if it was just fixed based or something. Either way I guess it doesn't really matter, full motion or not, I've finally got a shot.

I think the YUL sim is a Q400.
You will be fine!
Best of luck!

Q400 you say? Cool. I am looking forward to it. I am a little nervous about it. I got some time in the sim recently to dust off the hands and feet, but haven't actually flown since January of 2015

Re: Up Coming Interview
The only RJ sim in the jazz system (two of them) are also in YYZ. Not including the Seneca version. Unless they've built a new one in the last 6 mo
Re: Up Coming Interview
Any sim eval done in YUL is the CRJ fixed base sim at CQFA I believe.
Re: Up Coming Interview
Got Sim eval in Toronto on the 21st of March, didnt mention where yet and im still waiting for my email. She seemed to mention only one sim eval right now anyone has had two recently ?
Is there a reason why some people pass the interview and get the sim within two weeks and other within 6-7 weeks ?
For Sim eval, is everyone getting the ndb hold on the LOC or has anyone had something different. Trying to practice as many scenarios as possible prior to the sim.
Thanks in advance !

Re: Up Coming Interview
You are correct that it is at CQFA and that it is fixed base, but it wasn't exactly an RJ. It was briefed as an almost Q400.Canoehead wrote:Any sim eval done in YUL is the CRJ fixed base sim at CQFA I believe.

Re: Up Coming Interview
Ok Quick question:
They say to bring an extra bag for all the manuals they are going to bestow upon us. How many manuals will there actually be? Doesn't Jazz use an EFB on Ipad? Also how does that system work?

Re: Up Coming Interview
You will probably be given 2 jepp manuals plus a Com and an AOM. We are issued an iPad mini with the jepps and Com/AOM on it. However for now we still have to carry the paper jepps
