6 or 7 years ago, Avcanada became a sanctuary for me, a dictionary, a source of aviation knowledge, a newspaper as well as telephone, an e-mail service, a pager and a punching bag. I've grown accustomed to logging in many times a day, checking in on friends, on various news and tragedies.
For someone like me, most of my logging in is done from work; behind a desk, where people storm in and out of your office. I have nothing to hide so I leave Avcanada running on my screen if someone walks in.
Recently, with the increased, euh...how shall I put this...increased skin exposure in Avatars, it has become harder for me to leave it open and post as frequently as I would like to. I'm worried someone will barge in and see breast or @ss on my screen or god knows what.
When we post something indecent, we usually put Not Work Safe and guys like me can bypass. for now
Just my take on things, I don't think they should be banned, I just think moderation is the key. Also, Avatars in my opinion should represent the writer behind the user name. Mine is a Snowman I made. I tried to make it look like me but I'm not that talented!
Just my office view.
