How many years in to break 100k

Just curious on average how many years in does it take to break 100k at AC, based on OTS hiring so no seniority carry over etc.

What would average pay be after 10 years of service and say after 20, Also what costs does the employee cover ie extended health etc.

Yes there are lots of variables but just looking for generalities,

and going nowhere, thanks for the link but that is pretty watered down info, nothing regarding benefits etc.

You could expect to break $100k in base salary in year 5 assuming you aren't an RP, who would be just under $100k at that point.

You could make more depending if you take advantage of draft/overtime flying and premiums plus there is ESOP, profit share etc...

Extended medical/dental/ad&d all covered. Short and long term disability coverage. You get some basic life insurance covered also and access to more. DC pension matching.

Year 10/20... Depends on much... Assume though you hold the top paying job for your seniority and you didn't work overtime... I'd roughly suppose based on current pay rates and positions:

A 10 year a 320 captain about $200K.

A 20 year 787 captain about $265K.

65 is min guarantee. What is a more realistic min for blocking, or is 65 pretty normal?

I believe it's good to know what you're getting into, so here's the gist of remuneration in your first 4 years.

65 would be abnormal and usually only seen during recessions. 900 credit hours per year is a good ball park as hours vary month to month depending on several factors. Obviously there is more flying in the summer with most pilots blocked around 85, vacation allotments are weighted heavily into slow seasons as are aircraft transition courses to balance monthly hours.

Here are the current fixed hourly rates for pilots in their first 4 years:
Year 1 2016 - 56.60
Year 2 2017- 63.12
Year 3 2018 - 73.37
Year 4 2019 - 83.80

Then you're onto the Formula Rates for the aircraft you're flying. If you can find a Captain spot before 5th year, you're paid the Captain's formula rate for that position. Pilot's can contribute up to 9% of their wages to buy AC shares which are matched annually at 33% (or 50% after 1 year in the plan) and also receive profit sharing (if profits are made obviously). I don't know enough about the DC pension plan to comment on it, maybe someone else in that plan can weigh in here.

Per diems are approximately 700-900/month flying a domestic block, and 1200-1400/month for overseas.

Heres a question.

If the equipment shows 320 vacancies, and you're hired onto the right seat of the 320, are you still held to the 4 years flat pay? or do you head into 2 years flat pay, then formula?

Pre-2012 pilots were on fixed salaries for 2 years then formula pay starting their 3rd year. Now FO's and RP's are paid the above fixed hourly rates for 4 years regardless of their aircraft type.
