Even with our air force's present piss poor ability to keep planes in the air, there is a $137 million shortfall in this year's budget and the Snowbirds are on the list of potential closures. For the present the air force seems to be commited to keeping the snowbirds alive, by keeping them with the same ailing jets until at least 2015 . Proud to be Canadian?

Being ex-military (pilot), I find it hard to justify the many Billions it would cost to bring our Military to what it once was... yeah, there's lots of history of Canadian exploits worldwide, but now it would cost so much... to achieve what?

Ya, I was just thinking I could buy every one that is kept at edmonton/chilliwack/vernon or something. That way, I'll be able to keep one running for a few years.....
