Anyone in the Edmonton FIR contacted for interviews?

Just wondering if anyone in the Edmonton FIR has had thier first or second round interviews? I completed my assessment 3 weeks ago and was hoping there would be some interviews soon.

did you just do the assessment on the 26th? I was in that one too!

I havn't gotten a call for it yet, but my cousin who also wrote with us said he got his call to set up the interview already.....i know he applied a long time ago so they might be going off how long the app has been in the system, or they may be going off of scores I couldn't tell ya....Their site does say in the next few weeks so I am sure there is nothing to be worried about, as long as you got the green dot and "you have passed this hurdle" you are guaranteed a phone interview.

No I dont think IFR is for me, even if i qualify. Much rather have the visual conformation of the airspace i'm controlling in a VFR or AAS role. I've got my interview scheduled for today as well! Good luck man!

right on, ya it certainly isnt for everyone..... howd your interview go? I think mine went well, was interviewed by Frank Kratt who was excellent.....Some of the questions I found really quite engaging, and i feel that my answers to a couple were either amazing or downright awful depending on what they were actually looking for on them lol.....


if anyone on here wants a great simluator to start practicing on i've attached a link down below, its free for about 15 airports and if you want some more challenging ones or a bigger selection you make a one time donation of 20 bucks (to help keep it running)....its not as intense as the real thing obviously but it does serve to help you get a taste of what you're getting into...anyone who wants to hit me up just pm me !.... cheers!

Ya i got green light the day after, which i thought was weird cuz he said it would be about a week for a pass/fail......either way ya looks like we should expect at least 2-4 weeks and most likely more (depending on how strong we are and what their current candidate pool looks like)....and yes i sent my documents in the day i got the green light.

Just chiming in, I'm in Moncton region not Edmonton. But it's been 5 weeks since I got the green light on my phone interview and haven't heard anything for the in person yet.

There definitely could be more demand in the Edmonton region where it's so huge, but definitely settle in for a good wait. None of the other candidates I'm keeping in touch with have heard anything either.

The options I were given for interview dates were all in the third week of October.... So someone else will have to chime in!

Had the in person interview earlier this week, I think it went well! Fingers crossed It was a fairly short interview with two people, they said in about 2 weeks they'll update my profile for red light/green light. Anyone else complete their interview? Completed mine as well! My interview was with a panel of 4 managers and then I got a tour of the ACC. Was an amazing experience and I feel the interview went really well. I was told it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks depending on Ottawas work load. Hoping for soon! Congrats to everyone who had their interviews, I think everyone should be very proud!

Hey you classy folks, I did my interview the last week of September for Edmonton FIR and I think it went well, super chill....from what I've been told if you are good enough to get a final interview you are already in as long as you don't make an ass of yourself....in the pool that is, whether or not you actually get training offer who knows....hoping to hear back this week, hoping for IFR
