Has anyone in Moncton FIR received a call for an in-person interview?

Interesting. Is the simulation testing for everyone or is it just for the referral ppl?

Unless something is changed, the simulation testing is just for the referral people. During my interview I got to try some things on the simulator, but it wasn't anything ranked or graded. It's possible however that has changed.

I found out today at 1554hrs I was unsuccessful in making it to the next phase of the process via the referral program.

I can apply again via public in October 2017.

I am pretty disappointed

My understanding is this week they interview referral candidates. Then they score them and combine the list of public and referrals and send results to Ottawa.

Then head offices will make some offers in December for YQM region. Good luck to all of you. I plan on applying on TakeCharge in October 2017.

Thanks belivo, best of luck to you! I hope you are successful next year . I did email Joanne from recruitment today and she informed me that results should be available by the end of he week. Not sure how the holiday will play into it, but glad to hear results are on the way.

Ohhh it's an Assesment session, I thought you were saying there was more testing for those of us who's already gone through the process.

Woohoo! I woke up to a green light on my take charge page!

I was streamed for flight service specialist only, which is kind of disappointing since I was really hoping for VFR. Nevertheless, I plan on enthusiastically accepting any course offers that I (hopefully) receive. Armyman and any others who have been going through the process in moncton, I hope you all see green today as well!

You may still end up VFR. I was streamed IFR and that was my preference but I got a VFR course offer and thats where I ended up (and am now quite happy about it!). So you never know.

From what I understand, offers for Moncton training will come out around the end of the year. VFR should start in February/March and IFR in April. So, I am guessing offers for VFR would be first and then offers for IFR training. Just wondering, since I qualified for IFR stream and if NAV Canada calls me for VFR, should I hold out for IFR? IFR is where I want to be, I think. Looking for opinions.

Good info on the timing. I'm in the FSS pool myself and it seems they're running national FSS courses out of Moncton all through the spring. As for your second note, if you are offered VFR and decide to hold out, it would definitely be a gamble, but ultimately its your choice! Maybe others who've been through the process could help out more with that question.
