I got dragged out of the Mandarin once the same way.

I think that lady had just eaten the entire Mandarin buffet.CL-Skadoo! wrote:I got dragged out of the Mandarin once the same way.

Sounds similar to that other guy. Glad to hear they dealt with her appropriately! I wonder if she'll get a ban as well?Rookie50 wrote:http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2016/12/1 ... -gate.html

Just another good reason they should not charge for checked bags, and start charging for carryon if its more then a brief case our purse. I can feel her anger. I personally am sick of bins over my head loaded to the max were people have to jam doors to close them.
Re: Jump boarding and demand overhead bin space, get tazered.
Only tasered?
Surprised officers didn't pull their Glocks.
Clear terrorism threat to national security.
Maybe we should hand out tasers to FA's.
Save the trouble of calling the cops.

Re: Jump boarding and demand overhead bin space, get tazered.
In Rookie's PC world all the passengers would have to just wait while the police asked the lady nicely to leave the plane. Then, when she refused, everyone would just wait, and wait, and wait...
Re: Jump boarding and demand overhead bin space, get tazered.
Oh I'm PC all right.
Biggest laugh of The day.
Go ahead, ban her for life. In fact Crunch, why don't you push for a 5 year prison sentence. Hard time.
For some lady likely with mental issues.
I'm sure you supported those cops in the YVR terminal who tasered that poor confused guy to death, who was lost and looking for his mother, awhile back. Resulted in a long investigation that went no - where. Never mind -- GOTTA use these Tasers Billy - Bob!
GOOD JOB!

We don't even know if they used tasers or not - that was just a comment from a passenger saying they might have. All we know is that she was dragged off the plane when she refused to leave voluntarily.
You seem to love making a lot of assumptions about events that you know nothing about. (I know sweet FA about this as well, I'm just responding to your rant).

Clearly not getting my broader point. I missed the "I think I saw it" in the article.CpnCrunch wrote:We don't even know if they used tasers or not - that was just a comment from a passenger saying they might have. Just because someone isn't obeying orders doesn't mean it's the correct thing to beat the living crap out of them as a generalized comment.
Happens far too often and that isn't PC to point it out.
A mans life is over. 8 years fighting for the crown to get a slap on the wrist.
If I having a problem with that is PC, then I guess I am.

I don't see anything about "beating the living crap" out of anyone in the article. And it was you who originally used the PC term with me (I'm not either), so just throwing it back at ya.

Here's one I remembered reading.
Seems this is what we should do to anyone who doesn't instantly obey, Crunch.
Mental problem? Irrelevant. Confused? Tough cookies. We'll show everyone you don't mess with TSA.
Beat em' Taser em', Ban them for life too. And charge them.

TSA officers here? Never charged. Mother pleaded -- to help. They laughed.
Yep I'm PC.
It's gone too far. That's my point. Some people have problems. Anxiety attacks. This isn't how you deal with it.
It's all good -- until it's your son or daughter --
Re: Jump boarding and demand overhead bin space, get tazered.
This latest one appears to be more down to dkheadedness rather than anxiety, from what we know about it.
Re: Jump boarding and demand overhead bin space, get tazered.
One of the poorest possible positions to be in these days, is in need of help for your mental state, but not be in enough of a state to be institutionalized. In this state you get little understanding, and in fact often you get into more trouble as folks that don't understand you, move your meter, intentionally or not , towards the boil over point. Don't ever forget that 2 or 5 of us have a patch at least once a year that qualifies as a mental illness. It may not last, it may not be for long, but it happens. Cheers

TWO VULTURES BOARD AN AIRPLANE, EACH CARRYING TWO STINKY, ROTTING, DEAD RACCOONS. THE STEWARDESS LOOKS AT THEM AND SAYS, "I'M SORRY, GENTLEMEN, ONLY ONE CARRION ALLOWED PER PASSENGER."

Here's a real example of PC behaviour. So sad this country sometimes.

Ah, the age we live in...this was some of the reaction after the US election - I could see a few posters here availing themselves of these services!
I just have no idea how a vast swathe of civilization thinks it will survive in the cold, cruel world. Sincerely hoping natural selection will kick in at some point. From The NY Post:
* The University of Michigan offered its traumatized students coloring books and Play-Doh to calm them. (Are its students in college or kindergarten?)
* The University of Kansas reminded its stressed-out kids that therapy dogs, a regular campus feature, were available.
* Cornell University, an Ivy League school, held a campus-wide “cry-in,” with officials handing out tissues and hot chocolate.
* Tufts University offered its devastated students arts and crafts sessions. (OK, not kindergarten — more like summer camp.)
* At campuses from elite Yale to Connecticut to Iowa and beyond, professors canceled classes and/or exams — either because students asked or because instructors were too distraught to teach.

Re: Jump boarding and demand overhead bin space, get tazered.
Look at what these professors are paid on campus, and what university education costs. Look at the media credibility this group of ivory towered castle dwellers are given. It's a Bizzaro reality world on campus dedicated to an insulated, ultra - PC vision.
Not one of these professors would survive 5 minutes in the real world, making critical decisions in aviation or finance (my industry).
Which is why they never leave their little Utopias.

If finance is your industry then why are you on a aviation forum (like 23 hrs a day)...

hahah classic! Two guys chirping a third over his posts, while themselves contributing absolutely zero to the conversation.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you...The Internet!
Although it doesn't sound like trolling to me. Just an illustration of the two qualities that have come to define Canadians: envy, and bitching. With a little passive-aggressive thrown in.
