Did the skydiving thing for a while. And Scuba as well. First still keeps you near airplanes and you really are sort of flying in freefall and under parachute.

But scuba is kind of aviation related if you like wreck diving. Dove a bunch of WWII Japanese aircraft(along with a lot of ships) in the Pacific in a couple of places known as Truk and Palau.

For sight and sound, this is almost exactly what it is like diving the Fujikawa Maru with its cargo hold of Zero fighters.

Unforgettable.

Everything except for the engine. It was a basket case with various missing parts & the engine had been completely disassembled for case repair after it threw the chain. It then languished in various garages for years. The various cam gears & shims were all mixed up in the bottom of various boxes, and having never worked on a bevel engine before, I opted to send it out to somebody that had done dozens in Montreal.

Currently my favorite ride.

Very nice. Did you restore it yourself?

I am broke so I stick to the older Japanese vintage bikes. Currently working on a 1971 Suzuki T250 2stroke.

And what happened to the Aussie painted version?

Sports are good: Cross Country Skiing, Squash, Some sort of combat sport.

Books are also good.

Personally I prefer furiously masturbating to the thought of shinier tin.

Between kids and life in general there isn't a lot of time. But recently things have slowed ever so slightly allowing for:

Karate (stay in shape and protect the flight deck  )
SCUBA
Cooking (cause restaurant food gets old)

Only if you do it with specific goals in mind and record your accomplishments.

Personally - hockey, cycling, kayaking and fishing. All (except kayaking perhaps) can be done pretty much anywhere you happen to be. Hockey gear and bicycles and certainly fishing gear are relatively easy to pack along.
