My understanding is we are hiring 300 in 2017, the portal being closed simply means they have enough applicants to interview for now. I'm sure it'll open back up soon enough

What's the average wait time after an application before you can expect to hear back?

It took me three weeks from application to phone call.

Closing date in the posting was Dec 31 2016 but I was still able to submit an application after that date through the portal. The automated email I received said it was accepted and under review.

From pushing send on my application to first phone call was 3 days (submitted friday, called monday)
from phone call for interview to phone call for job offer was 1.5 months.
this was early early jan last year.
