I was recently reading the flight test guide for a group one instrument rating and it seems that TC is now recognizing an LPV approach as a precision approach for the purpose of a Group One Instrument Rating if an ILS is not available or practical. Does anyone know if this would hold true for an initial PPC ride as well?
Thanks,

Re: PPC Question
I confess I haven't looked it up, but if TC recognizes a LPV as a precision approach anywhere they will recognize it everywhere. IRT Flight test guides are flight test guides regardless of what licence you hold or job you're doing.
Re: PPC Question
Yes. ACP Bulletin No 1/14 (01 June 2014) now categorizes an LPV approach as a precision approach for PPC purposes.
