Westjet F/A's

Post by WJflyer »

Just a quick question about Westjet's F/A's. Since I see that all F/A's are based in Calgary, do all the F/A's live in Calgary, or do some of them live in other cities? If some of them do live in other cities, how does their commute work? I am interested in applying for a job at Westjet, either as a F/A or a Customer Service Agent, as I meet the standards Westjet sets for both jobs. Thanks.

We have guys and girls that commute in from all over as FA's the majority from Van, Kelowna and Edmoton. With that said there are some from YHM,YYZ and YUL. There are also a group of x trained CSA/FA's that work here. Hope this answers your question. The only downfall to commuting is the part time (new hires) are required to do reserve in YYC.

Further questions about Westjet:
1. How are their interviews like? What sort of questions do they ask?
2. How are job conditions like exactly? What is expected of Westjet employees?
3. What is an average week or month as a Westjet F/A?

Behavioral based interviews ie. name a time.......... they are loking for life exerience situations with both positive and negative out comes. They used to do group interviews as an initial the 2nd was behavioral based but I heard this maybe changing
Start part time and work into full time PT does reserve and will usually get called in to fly. I believe they are blocked to 80 hours/month as for the actual working conditions that I'm not sure.
