A little advice?

Post by Rowdy »

Howdy Folks!

My little summer contract is up in a couple of weeks and I'm heading back home to BC for the winter. I was told I could have my old spot back fueling so thats no big deal and it pays reasonably well!

I have very low time (just over 230) with a bare multi and about 12hrs on a 180 on floats and a stab of tailwheel time.

I need to find something to do over the winter and possibly set something up for next season. The goal is to get into a float Op. or something flying big singles or possibly fire/pipe patrol.

Should I do the IFR, or weasel my way into more time on floats? Any options outside of canada for low time guys through the winter?

Feel free to PM me if you know of any good leads or possible side work or are in need of a good dock guy for next season ;)

CHeers!

Try the waterfront next to Canada Place an opening is about to open, so I've heard. Good luck

For dockboys and rampees...same as usual....anywhere you can get a job with some for of advancement...Tindi, CMA, Air North (long wait), Borek )if you are fortunate) Transwest... Perimeter...

Try some skydive places if you want a first flying job...although it is pretty late in the season right now...

Bye bye,
