If you're looking for a Calgary to Toronto ferry pilot...
If you just happened to be looking for a ferry pilot to bring your newly purchased plane from, say Calgary to the GTA, and you don't happen to be getting much traction, you could try being less of a cheapskate and offer a bit more than $30/hr. Just saying.
Oh, and spending all day waiting out weather for three days with you in Brandon, Manitoba for $100/day? Really, dude?
I do hope, although you don't say, you're paying up for decent accomdation, meals and transport for evening entertainment too. Plus the airfare out there.

One more thing: just because you're occupying the seat next to an instructor doesn't make the flight a lesson.
The first 20 hours of flight training don't include anywhere a cross country trip across the nation. In fact they include almost no "flying in a straight line for hours on end" at all. Any instructor who signs a student off with time in a pilot training record for this kind of jolly who doesn't even have a student pilot permit yet and hasn't done a single minute of solo flight is committing a fraud on the student and the profession.

Well said.
The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

He might get lucky and find some freshly minted CPL looking for hours, but otherwise might have to cough up a bit more! I'd want daily minimums at more like $250.

You know, it's a common logical fallacy at play here:
All holders of a PPL have at least 45 hours of flight time in their logbook
I have at least 45 hours of flight time in my logbook
Therefore I hold a PPL.
