Transparency seems to be an issue here in Canada. More often then not you need to know somebody before you get any real information about salaries, benefits, even bonds. Many pilots blindly apply to jobs, then don't know what the conditions are until the interview, or perhaps until the job offer. There are some exceptions (good job Airsprint!)
Take a look at these websites, the US seems to be light years ahead of us right now in many regards of aviation.

Re: Lack of transparency
We get lots of info regarding pay. "Industry leading pay" and "Competitive wages" comes to mind, also there's the old chestnut "As per company pay scale", what more do you want? Jeeze!
Re: Lack of transparency
So both web sites are sponsored by an airline. If you don't need to recruit why would you bother. I assume these are proactive moves brought on my the experience requirement south of 49. If Canada adopts ATP requirements as the Americans have then you might see this in Canada. But for low time guys mum and pop will never spend that kind of money. You are lucky just to have a job driving your HO around -- just ask them
