I call BS. Just simply for the fact that I don't see how the freight is going to get there if not in the back of a 748.

Probly no other 748's in Canada

ie:Air Creebec, Air Inuit, Calmair, Westwind, Airnorth, and I'll throw in First Air for fun. Frt can be moved in other than 748's as well!!

So if Wasaya lost it who got it? I know that the northern store was actually trying to convince wasaya to come back to churchill to replace the current company. So I was under the impression that the northern store was pretty happy with them.

so if you think that a 748 is the only thing that can do it, what about a C46 and an islander? ie FNT

Ok let me dumb it down a little bit. First off, jedinite, a leased Dornier 228 is not an Islander. It is not a freighter either, although it could be. It is doing Sheduled flights to St Therese from Winnipeg.
I realize that FNT has 2 C46's and perhaps a DC3 and there cargo capabitlity is without question. Their reliability however is. The Wasaya Hawkers do probably 10 cycles per day every day I'm no expert but I think it is too much to ask of a C46 to do the work those hawkers are doing.

Secondly, The Northern stores contracts are based on mileage. Red Lake and Pickle are alot closer to the communities than Gimli (and the FNT maintenance). What happens if a C46 breaks? I think there are only about 5 in the world.

Yes, I realize there are more Hawkers in Canada than 801, 805, 806 and perhaps 807. Just not more in Northern Ontario.

My post way stating in a somewhat round about way that there is currently nobody in a position to take over that contract so hence "I call bullshit" That is not to say it will never happen, I've heard grumblings of NAC and ATR's etc. The 748's will have to be replaced eventually.

Do you have any idea how long it takes to get approved for 705 ops?

As for the Metros, you're right it would take 5 or 6 so again not feasable. But have you heard Perimeter 988 on the Radio lately?

What run the Dash all day with people and cargo at night, not likely. But maybe 2 Dashs might just work. Then again getting set up to do 705 is a little harder then one thinks it is.

I'm not interested in who could or couldn't do it, just wondering if the contract was actually lost?

and then there are those who are approved for 705 and do not have the equipment.(just a random question but, does anyone know what you get when you mix blue and yellow?)

Wow! Is it all the northern stores in NWO or just ones that would be served out of particular bases like YRL, or YPL?

Endless, how about I will answer your question seeing as those other imbeciles could not. Wasaya lost the Northern Stores in Manitoba ie YIV, YST, YRS. Lost it to FNT, you know the piece of shit C-46s leaking oil all over the north.

Anyone know if Merlins/ Metros have a pogo stick? Cause they'll be poppin a major wheelie carrying Northern Store loads without one.

I give FNT 5 months, then it goes back to Wasaya.

Ninjacrumb: Thank you sir.

So wasaya didn't even lose the whole contract out of YRL then I guess. The loss of some of the bigger stores like YIV and YST will hurt them none the less. Wonder what that means for the fleet in YRL?
