Well, it's simple, when you get jerkoff companies going around suing TC for their own blatent inadequacies....go figure. From what I've heard, some of the $hit that TC is raping Skyward over is pure silliness.

Man, this is great - unintentional hilarity, too!

I'm living through this nightmare and dont know when to throw in the towel and go crying back home? Everyone always says if you work hard at something and put your mind to it you will get thought it but this is tough. You cant live with out working, you cant work if they want you to train and who will give you a job if they know your just going to leave. So much for living the DREAM!!!!!
Yes we are on 48 hour call back
Yes they have asked us to train without pay in lieu of time off
Yes there are a good bunch of people up here that are hurting

Yes, Perimeter has their audit at the end of the month, and yes they will pass with flying colours. They have nothing to hide. As far as medevac aircraft, six in the province is enough. I don't think anyone will die because a clamped out 421 is grounded.

PAG and TC

I once sat in on a meet with TC, back when BW Sr. was still running the show at PAG. It was actually fully catered by Norm & Nates Deli. No wine though.

What I havn't seen anyone post about this whole suspension is that this sort of thing is bad for everyone, in the long run. Airlines being shut down looks bad for the industry, not just the one company.

It's really just another reason why pilots should remember that doing the company a favour by looking the other way, isn't really helping.

Within reason of course.

Management is obviously at fault here for letting the operation stray from the straight and narrow but do you honestly think that management is just lounging around collecting a paycheck and laughing at all those silly pilots and engineers. Who else in an operation has the authority and resources to fix whatever problems they have run into. Laying non-essential workers off is only good business sense, and yes with no OC pilots and most of maintenence are non-essential.

When the dust settles and the OC is re-instated and the aircraft are up and running is when changes should (and probably will) be made at the management level.

As much as I hate to admit it but I have to agree with SnJ here. (Ah I just puked!)

Nows the time to hammer them with a shop union or organization or whatever ya want to call it and the first thing on the agenda is:
"No we will not train in lieu
and we want our days off too."
Hey that rhymes.
Providing they have jobs to go back to.

Managers are no doubt scrambling, but they are no doubt not working for nothing.

Bart Bandy ...good series of books eh?

I'm not even sure if staff can organize a union when they're technically not working for the company. Besides, I have a hunch that this is the end of Skyward Aviation.

I dunno. Easy to say as an AC employee I suppose, but what about the people that work for smaller companies?. Perhaps they just fear for their jobs? And yeah, what a name, localizer....your momma not like you?

Localizer, I'd be flyin down the road if advocated losing the chaplin, the owners love that damned guy. A good portion of the management do read avcanada, so better to be safe.

do you think Milton knows you are "LOCALIZER", you old farts the lot of ya. The trenches these days are different, you don't get it.

(i believe some people are doing that .. if not so be it .. )

bartbandy .. Im not telling people to use there real names .. incase I needed to summarize that again for you ..

Localizer:

Consider the perspective of the Skyward staff. There is little doubt that management is reading these posts. It is somewhat likely that a few people from Skyward know the nicks used by a few of their staff. We know that the staff is on a 48 hour call-back.

Now consider: Staff posts info using regular nick. Company finds out. BAD CAREER MOVE.
Staff uses sock-puppet and posts. Likelyhood of retribution from Skyward is at a minimum.

Localizer, sunshine, you may be protected at Air Canada by about 2 hundred thousand unions, but for the staff at Skyward, they're on their own. If the mods have a problem with posters here, I'm sure they'll let them know.

Nobody here is asking you, localizer, to come out of the closet and admit you admire Michael Jackson's taste in children. You have no right to ask Skyward staff to 'out themselves'.

I've never once seen the mayor out here @ Skyward. So that pretty much kills the free flight theory. Nobody once to see an employer the size of Skyward shut down in their community. I think that's where his motives lie.

Aside from that. All I'm going to say, as a Skyward employee, is that there hasn't been a whole lot of fact on this thread. Hopefully, within the next few days, things will be looking up.

Cheers

I heard that along with their OC they also lost their AMO which means the engineers can't touch their own birds.

IMHO, if even 50% of the info in this thread is ture, were I a Skywardian, I'd be shooting out resume's faster than a Humvee's 50 cal shoots lead.

Localizer maybe you do not understand that hidding behind a new name is what people like to do on this forum anytime they have s### to sling. If you have fact and work there I would agree with changing your name to say it. How ever most people just want to sling s###. The chances are people changing there names do not even work at Skyward.

Here's my 2 cents about TC. Yes they have there far share of dicks. Who doesn't ??? just read some of the crap on this forum. It amases me that when TC shut's somebody down or try and do there job they are slammed. I wonder how many people on this forum hide behind TC when they are pissed with there employer. Come on already lets cut these guys and gals a little slack. Not all of them hide in a room and plot how to screw industry. An audit team usually consists of people from all over TC to try and keep things fair. It would sure be nice to have some facts here before we hang TC for trying to do there job. Maybe they shut them down for Bad Training, Bad Maintenance, Bad books etc etc. I don't beleive they huddled in a room and said lets screw Skyward there must be something here.

For all you Skyward employees keep your head up. I personaly hope to see you all in the air again soon. Best of Luck to you
