Re: Identify This Aircraft
My first, hasty guess would be a DC3....mostly because of the square windows & paint scheme...
No idea about the 2nd one.

Re: Identify This Aircraft
B36 (38 maybe) I believe
( Verified: 36 the D model with the added Jets)

Re: Identify This Aircraft
Now you're making me stretch
The first one I think is a Saab (can't remember the designator) which was basically a Trike Gear DC-3 that used the odd ball 1835(?), didn't it have a CofG problem that meant it needed a tail post during loading (?)...then againcould have the wrong airplane altogether.
The Second one it a Dornier, but darned it I can remember it's number.

Yep that's the B-36 at Pima Arizona, just rolled out last year.
Till you stand beside one you can't imagine the scale.

Re: Identify This Aircraft
I knew that place looked familiar. Went to Pima with the family last year, maybe year before.

Now my turn,
Wassit?
(hint, it is the second highest produced aircraft in the world...bonus points if you can name which one is the actual highest)

Re: Identify This Aircraft
At number 2 the Polikarpov Po-2 (40,000+). At number 1 The trusty 172 (43,000+)

Dang...ok lets add Spanish to the eastern stuff LOLDoc wrote:Tom H, wrong on both counts. Not even close.

Here's another.
Hint, it's NOT a DC-3, C-47, C-53, R4D or C-117.
