Did you apply to encore? Higher starting pay and much quicker path to AC.
Hey, I saw your earlier response as well before it got removed, my colleagues who go into jazz after interview were called 1-2 days after the interview, however, that was 3 months ago. Maybe sim is too booked and they're waiting to call. Is the 3 month wait you referred to is perhaps after completing all the steps?

I applied to encore and porter as well but no dice yet.
You're not out til you're out so just hang in there.
Yeah hoping to hear something this week, thanks for the reply

Are new hire classes still pretty much just YYZ or YUL? Any updates on how long to get to YVR? Thanks...

How many atpls? And if there are any, what are their odds at staying till the end of training?

Mainly YYZ. some in YYC, some in YUL, nothing in yvr.

Should be able to hold yvr within 6 months.

I don't think so any ATPLs. Low time pilots mostly.

Anyone with some experience would be stupid not to go to Porter. FO starting pay is much higher and if you have some time a quick upgrade would put you nearly DOUBLE what Jazz pays a new captain. Also the flow to AC is going to a trickle for this summer so there’s that as well.

Porter has scheduled GS for the foreseeable future. I assume jazz reductions?…

Can't imagine that to be true. We can't staff what we have now.

Place your bets, what base and what equipment will be reduced on the next equipment bid?

Just a summer thing, as they need everyone they can find to be online. Hence the slow down to AC. Groundschools will resume come the fall.

Didn’t you get PFO’ed by Jazz? Where are you getting those info? You said there were 2 YVR Q spots and no ATPL in the last ground school which was incorrect.

Yes, o was going to go back in his/her/they/ them’s posts to see that, I thought the PFO was Encore but there’s no way if this isn’t a troll account that they would have the information they have been putting out about Jazz.

Get used to waiting. When you apply to air canada from jazz it will be a year. I recommend applying to encore and porter, and avoid jazz.

There’s no way to know what will be available until they tell you on the 1st day. Lately all types have been available in YYZ and YUL and a few western spots I think on the Q
