They are actually reducing the YVR base. So don't need many pilots. You can see last to GS there were no YVR SPOTS.

Also whatever hiring they needed for this year all invites have already gone out. They can't handle more trainees. Will hire again next year.

Your information is beyond bad, it is absolutely wrong. Why are you spewing this crap when you clearly have no idea what is going on, have no knowledge of the operation, and don't work for Jazz.

This is beyond pathetic at this point. You are one sad individual.

Why don't you prove me wrong?

I am saying facts. This is what we are seeing.

You are saying nonesense. You have zero knowledge of the hiring plans at Jazz, nor understand how pilots are being distributed, particularly backfilled.

Time will prove you wrong as hiring keeps going all fall. I don't know why you keep spewing these falsehoods, or where you think your information is coming from, but it certainly isn't out of any department at Jazz that oversees training and hiring.

Again, you were PFO'd; how on earth would you get any of this kind of info (ground schools, reductions, etc).

Are you admitting that you are getting by restricted access to inside information from Jazz?

I think the mods (if there are any) need to step in and suspend this account. It's providing useless misinformation.

How long after the sim eval it takes to be PFO? It’s been already 3 weeks for me, my sim partner got an offer on Tuesday, total silence for me.
Another guy with us also didn’t hear back yet.

Check with your references if they filled in the form Jazz sent.
usually, the PFO is pretty quick.
Send HR an email or call them.

QK,

If mods were to suspend accounts of everyone spewing false or useless information on here, it would become a desert. Enjoy this site for the entertaining distraction that it is :)

Anyone making career defining decisions based solely on what is reported, recommended or discouraged here should brace for shock, surprise, and/or disappointment.

Considering you were the one constantly asking about all this stuff on avcanada up until your PFO.. I don't need to wait and see how your information is.

Normally I'd agree, however this capt_z's complete polar shift in a matter of a couple weeks from posting on this thread from asking about info on hiring and ground schools to getting PFO'd to then becoming the expert on ground schools and hiring; that's where I have to give my head a shake.

2/3 ref check is good. They might call you this week.

What GS date the other guy got. Apparently July has last GS so if that's full. They start pooling guys.

I thought as per your previous post, June 5 would’ve been the last gs. Now you’re saying there’s one in July?
Would you keep pushing the “last gs of the year” back to Dec then?

If Jazz pushes GS to Dec sure. But July is the last GS for this year.

non-ATPL's mostly. 1000 Hrs is average.

ATPL people would go Flair directly.

Agreed. You would have to be insane to go to jazz with an atpl.

Good lord this is hilarious. Had to come out of avcanada retirement for this because someone brought this to my attention.

No jazz isn't stopping hiring after June.

YVR isn't shrinking, the backfill process is alive and well, and we're right at the baseline published in Jan.

Just because a base doesn't get a share of new hires doesn't mean the base is shrinking. In YVR's case there's a backlog of new hires in YYZ that get backfilled to YVR, and the new hires get those vacated spots in YYZ.

Average experiences still varies, but 750h isn't far off the middle mark. Very few ATPLs, but more than zero per class. Lots of instructors.

Stopping AC flow wouldn't assist in attrition, but rather do the exact opposite, as evidenced by the last year of labour migration changes.

Nothing going on pay negotiations as of today, but that change in a matter of hours, without notice.

I'm not here to be a jerk, but when I see people confidently spout nonsense on these forums, and tout their total time as if experience is the only metric, but wonder why they didn't get a particular job, it makes me wonder what the candidate's level of self-awareness is, and whether their ego needs some balancing.

Help those out on these forums by only commenting on topics you're intimately familiar with. Mentorship is the art of knowing when you don't know something, and enjoying the learning process alongside those you mentor.
