I think the police should arrest the media there, who are doing everything they can to stir up violence right now.

They don't give a shit about this country and would love to see it burn for higher ratings.
Sounds like you're a big CBC fan and see them as a bastion of integrity in journalism.
Sad.

Re: Truckers convoy
Someone who is going to be incarcerated and never have the freedom to legally cross international borders again doesn't seem to have much credibility to make such obviously inflammatory and threatening statements considering this is supposed to be a peaceful protest.
I would say this goes for all the resisters of law and order. Criminal records are not good for business.
King asked demonstrators to walk to Parliament Hill and for trucks to jackknife in front of tow trucks. He also threatened to find out which companies drivers belong to, accusing drivers of committing "career suicide."[/

CBC host asks the guest: "Why aren't the police using tear gas"? Attack dogs too?
Next segment: Reporter says "almost all protesters are peaceful"
Host quickly changes the subject.

Why no news coverage of the violent attack on the pipeline construction out west that caused millions in damage? Did they not get the memo from Trudictactor?

Top story here? The high Rents in Vancouver. Then Trans mountain, BC Sturgeon, and a assault in Kelowna.
https://www.cbc.ca/
You'd think it would be a top story. Buried at the bottom. Last night It wasn't even on CBC at all -- until everyone else posted it.
Is what it is. CBC seems to the media that is most concerned with social disorder. Their coverage has been 24/7 on the Convoy.
Why isn't this top news?
I'm now not allowed to criticize the media that MY tax dollars support? Gonna freeze my bank accounts?
And where are the words of concern from Trudeau or Singh?

Re: Truckers convoy
So now that this is ending….hopefully! A question:
From the CBC and politicians, we have seen countless anecdotal comments on the violence committed by the Ottawa protestors— assaults, hate crimes, attacks.
77 people have been arrested, I have seen on the news today.
How many have been charged with a violent crime?
From what I heard earlier, the number is Zero.
Oh yeah:
No arrests at all from the violent BC incident. Cause like the church burnings, thats cool —-

So you’ve decided to replace your over the top bullshit stream with ever more fantastic hyperbole. You can criticize all you want but when you post blatant falsehoods you can expect to get called on it. This really doesn’t help whatever case you’re trying to make. You just look foolish.rookiepilot wrote: ↑Fri Feb 18, 2022 1:19 pm

Re: Truckers convoy
How ironic....I am watching the police action live and the conservative party called me a few minutes ago for a donation. The guy starts talking about Trudeau non-stop for 30 seconds until I interrupt him for the same message I gave a few days ago. If you want me to ever donate a cent again, you will be a party that upholds law and order and tell that to Pierre Polievre. When he starts to want to converse again, I hung up.

Its not exactly a good feeling when there are six federal parties and not being able to support any of them. To be honest, there has always been aspects of any party I voted for that I didn't like. Just choose the one you dislike the least.

Conservatives
NDP
Bloc

And just for the record, I was totally disgusted when the RCMP used pepper spray at Fairy creek. Saw a video of it.
I am extremely impressed with the police lowering the temperature in Ottawa and ending this peacefully. Extremely. Its too bad our politicians cant do as well.

BREAKING NEWS
: Coastal GasLink protestors in BC sabotage public roads, attack responding RCMP, destroy private property and threaten workers with axes. Looking forward to comments from media, PM Trudeau, Liberal/NDP MPs on Emergencies Act thresholds.
RCMP Chief Supt. Warren Brown, commander for the north district, called the attack a “calculated and organized violent attack that left its victims shaken and a multi-million dollar path of destruction.”
Coastal GasLink said in a statement the attackers surrounded some of its workers in a “highly planned” and “unprovoked” assault near the Morice River drill pad site off the forest service road.
“In one of the most concerning acts, an attempt was made to set a vehicle on fire while workers were inside,” said the company in a statement. “The attackers also wielded axes, swinging them at vehicles and through a truck’s window. Flare guns were also fired at workers.”
Not a word from the CBC, or Trudeau.
Incredible.
Guess this is “understandable violence”
FACT. Last night this was not on the CBC site, when I wrote this before 9 Pm.
I searched.
See the time. Didn't go up until midnight. After every other source posted it.
Yes I shouldn’t have said “no one” reported it. Fair enough. Retract that.

The woke left has already brought us to a state of fascism. Currently those who express opinions to far divergent from the approved narrative are cancelled. The government’s proposed internet control bill aims to punish those who express unapproved ideas. Swarms of neo-brown shirts (BLM and ANTIFA) are burning buildings and killing people.

Mounted units are also on scene and on Friday afternoon, convoy organizer B.J. Dichter tweeted that he has left the city and plans to “disconnect for a few days.”

Sure it’s confusing if you choose to deliberately and disingenuously take that interpretation. I know you’re bullshitting but no I am not saying that at all. I’m pretty sure that did happen. I’m just effing with rookie and his transparently nonsensical bleating instead. But I completely wasted my time answering because you knew that already, FODDY. Re: Truckers convoy
Why is this significant? This has got to do major damage to the movement. The maga style 'freedom convoy' organizers are going to become international terrorists, trump's freedom days are growing short and the movement in being dismantled. Huge blow with new international financial laws being developed now in real time. This was not likely thought through very well by followers who thought it was an anti-covid19 family friendly rally.
And it seems Dichter is on the run likely going to try to enter the U.S. is my guess. Not going to end well today as Police are now reporting being assaulted.
Judge suggests Trump is culpable for January 6 and says lawsuits against the former President can proceed
