I love how they ripped up trenches in the runway. They would rather kill the pilot than have a safe place for him to land over a congested area. Just my thoughts. They did the same at Meigs

This lunatics rants are soul destroying, but he does shine some candle light on the hypocrisy among the YEG airline boosters.
In any event someone in Edmonton told me that the the ex-YXD tenants are continuing on with their lawsuits against the ERAA, is that true?

I kinda like the idea of high speed rail Edmonton to Lethbridge.
The sucking sound at Leduc International as Edmontoners take the train to YYC will be delight to the ears of many AvCanada denizens

The lawsuits seeking injunctions likely went into the dumpster after the expropriation went through. However the City of Edmonton is completely on the hook for expropriation compensation -- including all relocation expenses, lost business and legal expenses...In any event someone in Edmonton told me that the the ex-YXD tenants are continuing on with their lawsuits against the ERAA, is that true?
It's all in the Expropriation Act.

Highlighted to emphasize...
As awarded through the process...that does not mean it will necessarily be fair or complete.
In my highly biased personal opinion

From the horses mouth, Morningstar is still pursuing their lawsuits. If they win I suppose Shell and the ERAA will have to sue the city. Too bad COPA couldn't kick some money towards the EFC to continue their lawsuit. This fiasco has to be made as expensive and ruinous as possible to the city and ERAA to serve as a warning to others.RatherBeFlying wrote:The lawsuits seeking injunctions likely went into the dumpster after the expropriation went through. In any event someone in Edmonton told me that the the ex-YXD tenants are continuing on with their lawsuits against the ERAA, is that true?

Give 'em hell. I was at Ducey today and looked at the airport thinking: "Just what we need, another mall or more housing. They will never be able to dig up the houses to add another airport.."
Drinking lots of coffee lately, at a nice safe jungle desk, wishing I were flying......

The destruction is well underway. Rookie50's post about the sheer pleasure of flight reminded me of my calm evening flights in and out of YXD. I miss those days.
