Maynard, that shot is beautiful! I has no idea that there was another beautiful thing in Timmins! I would like a blow-up of it to put on my wall if you decide to 'print' it? Lemme know.
In fact I have now stolen it and it is to be the wallpaper on my computer! Thank you!

There are many beutifull things that come out of Timmins. Take me for example... I grew up there.
Just kidding!!!!

Re: Pix From a Swamper - Remembering Craig Chenell
Meecka! I never knew! Another reason to go back there!
I spent years of my life in Timmins one fall, living in a motel for a month and flying surveys... fighting for space in the coffee shop in the morning with all the moose hunters. Apparently that year one of them bagged a donkey in the wildlife park.
I would LOVE a high-res copy - I'll PM you.

Re: Pix From a Swamper - Remembering Craig Chenell
I remeber hearing about the donkey! I guess because Moose are sometimes called "swamp donkeys" up there, the guy just figured any 'ol donkey will do!
Re: Pix From a Swamper - Remembering Craig Chenell
As I remember it, the donkey was actually harnessed to a cart that some old guy had. Don't remember if the donkey was actually in motion at the time but it was a pretty good argument for gun control in the rural areas; although one could argue it actually was pretty good gun control to drop the donkey with one shot - perhaps a visit to the optometrist?

Is the Empire Hotel still around in TS? Last stayed there in 1966, mind you.
Re: Pix From a Swamper - Remembering Craig Chenell
I havn't been back "home" in a loong time, but I seem to remember that the Empire was turned into a retirement residence before I left.
