Re: Canjet going under (again)?
Taken right out of the Canjet book and continuing the trend of extremely poorly paid 737 Captains in this country. That is almost $20,000 less than the median. Did you not look at what other operators are paying or just the lowest paying ones?

Re: Canjet going under (again)?
This was negotiated in late 2009 or early 2010. This is out of the 2010-2014 contract. I was not involved in this in any way. I just posted it.FICU wrote:Taken right out of the Canjet book and continuing the trend of extremely poorly paid 737 Captains in this country. That is almost $20,000 less than the median. Re: Canjet going under (again)?
You have to add 2% per year starting in 2011 so basically add little bit more that 6% to get the 2013 rate. See note 2 in french.
Re: Canjet going under (again)?
Is that transat captain payscale based on years at the company or position, please say the former for my sanity.

Re: Canjet going under (again)?
I was told 3 extra years have been added to that pay scale as well.
Re: Canjet going under (again)?
Those pay scales are years in the position, if you are new to the left seat in the company. If you are coming from the 310 or 330 (left seat) you will slide across to your years as Captain on the other aircraft....plus there is a few other clauses in there.
And no - you don't add the 2% for the last 3 years onto those numbers as "oh yeah baby" stated. If you read it carefully the pay scales and the 2% a year don't come into effect until they are made active through the acquisition of the 737's. SO in 2014 a first year captain will still make 90,500....then the 2% starts.

Here's a more positive spin on the news yesterday.

The interesting piece would be to find out what the terms are of the commercial agreement between TCNA and WJ.Wheels wrote:Here's a more positive spin on the news yesterday.

Now that RedTag has purchased TCNA, one would logically presume that they assume the obligations of that agreement. So, if there is speculation that RedTag is a potential customer for CJ, is that because the agreement with WJ is time limited? CJ could not hope to offer the risk sharing nor scope of operations that WJ has offered TCNA. And unless I am mistaken, when the original deal was announced last spring the term 'exclusive' was used which also raises the question about what RedTag can and cannot do in terms of the WJ contractual obligation and bringing on additional commercial partners.
Time will tell.

After reading the note a second time you are rigut i will have to correct my previous post.
The 2% start with the begginning of the 737 operation.
