Yes, unfortunately you will probably never know why.
They may not like something that you have posted on social media, or some kind of background check.
What do they see when they google your name?
.
No clue. And i had internal reference from my buddy who works for them. But no luck
I believe it’s really as simple as they had too many 1000 hour instructors and are looking for quickly upgradable candidates, your buddy can likely find out for you.

What experience does quickly upgradable candidates have?
There is actually decent advice on here.
- reach out to your internal references
- curate your resume to match individual job descriptions
- have a mentor or colleague take a look at your resume
- clean up or make private your social media accounts
- be open to criticism
- apply elsewhere
Not everyone looks for hours. Some HR employees look for personality and/or candidates that will be a good company fit.
Good luck

Take a look at the direct entry captain posting. That should answer your question.

Doesn’t say in the posting. Internal upgradable FOs I assume would have different requirements.

Where is Kieth D'Mello? We need your input. But for free.
People pay for water bottles when they can get a glass of water for free. Why are we ragging on a man who sells the water bottles of free internet advice?

Would be nice if he posted here more often, perhaps a dedicated thread for him and free advice. He helped me and I highly recommend him
