Like I said Upper Canadians don't understand how bad we enjoy living down here.

You'd have to triple my salary to make me move to Toronto/Vancouver, and buy me a house way out of town and real fancy car to get to/from work :D
Just curious as to why you think folks from other than the maritimes don't share your affinity with their home town, region or province. The rest of us wouldn't understand?

Just because you like living there doesn't mean everybody would like it.

BTW, Vancouver isn't "Upper Canada".

I'm not saying you wouldn't love your hometown, but I don't know if you've lived down here, its not the same as the rest of the country.

I can't say how YVR is, it's one town I've never had the pleasure to visit, but I hear it's a nice place to live.

Whens the last time you heard of "Westerners" sticking together as a group?

"Maritimers" and "Atlantic Canadians" have been sticking together and fighting the rest of the country for decades, for that reason people here are very loyal to local companies and operations.

I'm not saying the rest of the country sucks, but everyone has their own hometowns.

In the east we have to stick together to keep from getting steamrolled by Ottawa and the rest of the country.

Newfoundlands Oil riches is a perfect example. Now we're skewing wayy off subject

You are quite correct on the unity especially of friends and family. I was born in Cape Breton, raised in YVR, and have lived pretty much across the country thoughout my career.

Way off topic and no doubt racially charged, but you have been able to maintain the lifestyle partly because the East has little to offer immigrants.

Look at the face of the west now over 15 years ago. Pretty tough to maintain your culture in that environment, well unless you are Asian. :?

Yeah ... so anyway ... how quickly topics turn to crap on here.

Back to the original point of the post ..

I am curious, could someone please list the starting salary/wages per a/c type that PEAir flies? Then maybe someone else could list the salary/wage for similar a/c at their company. Then we'll see how out of wack things are around the country.

I'm in Yellowknife, I don't fly a King Air 200 but I think at my company the f/o's get straight salary, around $2700-$2800/month, captains around $5000-$5200.

lets clear some things up

PE Air is not a good place to work.
Aircraft are NOT well maintained.
Money sucks.
Experience is good.
Time building, pretty fast most bases.
Maritimes is a nice place to live...just like everywhere in Canada. (geez)
Respect for employees is non-existent.
Schedule is the worst part.

Hope this helped.
