For someone who calls themselves "Trey kule" you sure are flying off the handle for no reason. We are just discussing the incident in terms of the complexity of the aircraft and the scant information that we have available. No heavy lifting. And no, it's not earth shattering importance. No more earth shattering than your reasons for responding.

It was a nice civil discussion prior to that.

Colonel Sanders, how much time do you have in an A320?
CID,

You make think it was a "nice civil discussion prior to that", however through subtle innuendo you questioned the crew's flying abilities. You set the tone in your original post ("Is this what happens when pilots lack basic stick and rudder skills?")

That is what myself and others objected to.

The Raven,

That wasn't my intent. I honestly don't see how you could read all that in to my first post. I see me asking lots of questions not "subtle innuendo". Are you now going to accuse me of questioning ATC's role?

CID,

From your original post.

"In light of the current discussions regarding the ability to fly complex highly automated aircraft versus basic stick and rudder skills, did this crew screw up royally? Is this what happens when pilots lack basic stick and rudder skills?"

Your buddy x-wind, continued the innuendo with,

"It is remarkable that they had to do an overshoot after deciding to do an emergency landing. It warrants some investigation as to the crews ability to hand fly, assuming that's what was going on."

The Raven, you took that sentence out of context. If you're going to debate something at least respect the simplest of debate fundamentals and don't present statements of out context for discussion.

Remember when you wrote "falling out of the sky"? Should I now chastise you for suggesting that these pilots may have caused their airplane to crash? Ummm...no.

CID,

Obviously you and I can debate what your intentions were until the cows come home. Going further into the discussion will just waste my time and yours.

A very smart person once told me that winning a debate on the internet is like winning at the Special Olympics. You may win the argument but.....(I'm sure you know the rest).

I regret that comment now. Rockie put it in a better prespective for me. Anyway, subtle innuendo can be upsetting, I agree. There are no facts as to what lead to the go-around, I didnt expect or desire repercussions on my comment. Next time I'll know my audience better.
