Call back 2 months after the interview.
Thanks a lot, appreciate it.

Cheers!

Hopefully you'll hear back soon.
Now I wonder if no background check request within 2 weeks means probably PFO on the way.

Good luck to all of waiting.

AC is notoriously slow in their hiring process. It’s not uncommon to wait months from interview to job offer.

Meanwhile I’m hearing Flair and other airlines are fast tracking their hiring process because they want butts in seats as fast as possible.

Just sayin, there’s other options out there, do your due diligence before locking into a single employer and choose appropriately.

I did interview end of November. Still haven’t even got background check request. But no news is good news is what I’ve been told.

Remember to add at least 10 days to the whole process if you interviewed late November early December. I don’t have any contacts in hiring so I’m guessing at the timeline, but company wide but things seem to take a bit longer through the Xmas season.

Did anyone received PFO recently said you did not pass the interview and therefore they will schedule a second interview when they able to do so? Is PFO like that nowadays? Do you need to reapply in 6 month? Thank you and good luck to all.

Is this what you received? If so I'm sorry to hear that but I would definitely reapply as soon as you can. Does it say that in your letter?

Yes, the letter says I did not pass the interview and as such ,they will contact me for a second interview when able , nothing mentioned that I need to reapply in 6month, that is why I am a bit confused if I need to summit a new application?

Interesting. I've never heard of this kind of letter. Almost like purgatory between an acceptance and a true PFO. Maybe this is a new thing but I'd imagine that given what another poster said about getting a PFO to reapply in 6 months, it looks like you don't need to. But, I wouldn't leave this to chance. I'd contact recruitment and see if you need to or not.

Good luck!

It costs HR nothing to string you along, and in this job market it makes sense to try to keep you from moving on.

I got a PFO along the lines of never re-apply again and then they called me a year later for another interview. Strange hiring practices there. I respectfully declined the interview but I would say keep trying. I know a guy who got turned down 3x and then he got hired.

I am also on the lookout. Heard from a friend that calls are heading out for March 22 already but he said t was a Jazz person. spoke to another OTS waiting for a response and he also hasn't heard back yet. Both of us have gotten background check requests, I interviewed in late November he did in December. We are both hoping it is the same no news is good news.

Not to poop the party or anything but this pilot hiring is a little too frothy and it makes my spidey sense tingle.
Entirely anecdotal, of course, but I know more than a few solidly middle class families that have become fairly recently either barely solvent or living on credit. If this is widespread (maybe I just hang out with broke people), that will certainly be felt in our industry.

When everyone is scared, it's time to be greedy. When everyone is greedy, it's time to be scared. Or something like that.
