For Jazz candidates yes. For OTS not quite a bit early calls will most likely go out between late next week to 1st full week of Sept. Things can change. Take with grain of salt.

Is there gonna be more and better options of equipment for YYZ base in September ground school ?
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
There is no such thing as a predetermined timeframe on when calls for a set course go out. You can get a call tomorrow and opt be put on a course in December. So I am sure there is already people other than Jazz on September courses. What matters more is the last call for a course. I’d say that the early September one is starting to cut it pretty tight.

Is it common for Air Canada to extend job offers to candidates on different timelines, even if the interviews happened around the same time?tupues wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 8:57 pmThere is no such thing as a predetermined timeframe on when calls for a set course go out. It depends on how they've filled the courses I'd imagine.ohio_19 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 8:53 pmIs it common for Air Canada to extend job offers to candidates on different timelines, even if the interviews happened around the same time?tupues wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 8:57 pmThere is no such thing as a predetermined timeframe on when calls for a set course go out. Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Serious question. I have my interview coming up and likely other steps to follow. How hard is AC on drug use? I sometimes get carried away with it, and it has effected previous medicals and jobs. Thing is I don't want to screw this up. How likely will they find out I use and have a troubled history? Is there a way to cheat the psyc eval?
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
You should be fine, just answer a question with a question and every third question opposite of your previous answer, it totally skews the results and if you do the same on the repeat, the results will show genius which is exempted from further testing as for the drug test, drink a litre of vinegar 1 hour before the test, you could literally shoot up before walking in and the test will be negative.apetogetherstrong wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 12:28 pm Serious question. 686 vacancies on the new equipment bid.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Any idea when calls are going out for jan PIT?
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I know I’m this is the OTS thread but calls for Jan 10 went out to some Jazz pilots, probably some OTS planned as well
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Fair game if jazz folks get priority. Hopefully We OTS get to fill up 40% of every class. I personally don’t know anyone OTS that got the call for December 27th or the 10th jan class. Fingers crossed.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I believe the winter courses have been about 80% jazz. Likely to balance the percentage from previous class ratios. This has been consistent with the winter course makeup rumors. I haven't heard what the makeup will be for 2024. GLTA
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
I'm OTS, called for Dec 27. Some of us still squeaking through for now
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
AC never got close to 60% of jazz. Some classes had high percentages of jazz but they are probably at 30% for the year. You’re better off OTS and will no doubt get a call soon!
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Any OTS here that went over the 12th week since interview and medical ?
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Update: For the month of November AC's hiring consisted of the following new hire classes:
Nov 1 - Class of 22
Nov 15 - Class of 25
Nov 29 - Class of 30 [ Latest class hired... currently in PIT ].... new hires coming from Jazz and then WJ, Encore, Flair, Air Transat, CJ, Military, Canadian North, 604s, Porter...
2 more classes are expected for December wrapping up hiring for 2023
AC has been hiring on all cylinders this year bringing the total number of new hires to just over 900+ hired for this year.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Hi everyone,
I’ve been a long-time lurker of this forum however this is my first post. I was curious if anyone who has gone through the Air Canada hiring cycle (specifically ex-military) could shed some light on my situation.
I’m currently an Air Force pilot, looking at leaving the military in the next year or two and hoping to end up at AC. In the military, we have contracts that need to be adhered to, and as we approach the end of said contract, we need to decide whether we are going to sign on for another period of time, or if we are going to release from the military. No contract = no job; as such, in order to confidently withhold renewal of my contract, I would like to have an existing job offer on the table.
Essentially, during my application to Air Canada, it would sound something like “I’d love to come to work for you, however due to my current restrictions on my release from the Air Force, upon receipt of a job offer, I won’t be able to start ground school until the expiration of that contract”... For that reason, I was planning to make my application to Air Canada 6 months before my contract expiration (to give me time to hear back from them & then decide whether to renew with the military or not).
My concern is that due to my inability to start ground school immediately, my application will be overlooked for someone who can.
I really want to work for Air Canada, but it is difficult for me to leave my guaranteed employment in order to hopefully receive a job offer from AC.
If there is anyone who has navigated a similar situation, please feel free to reach out. Any advice is appreciated!
Thank you for your time & good luck with negotiations!

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
Can anyone post what’s been available for vacancies to the new recruits in these recent PIT courses?
Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
This is the next 12 month outlook based on the last equipment for this year which closed last week.
Note: CMSC chooses which positions and how many positions are available for fulfillment per class per basis.
Note: There are 2 December courses. Therefore there are less of these positions open.
