The problem is, as long as the media keeps picking these stories up and giving the customers the time of day to complain en masse, AC and any other airline will have to do something. Otherwise a second story comes out saying how they did nothing. It's a loose loose situation.

I still laugh at all the comments online about AC. While I am not at mainline, I have been flying AC branded planes for a while and the aircraft are always full. The crews work hard to get people where they need to go on time and in comfort. I have huge respect for the FAs now and when I fly in the back I do whatever I can to make their life easier.

The best passengers I've flown are always the far east coasters. Weather delays, no big deal... went missed? Not a problem. They do get a bit frustrated but know it's out of the flight crews and airlines hands and take it in stride.

Here's a good one, WE WERE delayed the other day due to a PAX trying to stuff their oversized "carryon" bag into the bin and breaking a hinge, after being asked to gate check it. On a stand up as well... so 1 hour less sleep for the crew. It's actually the second time it's happened to me in a month. Too bad we can't go to the news when the passengers cause us problems?

Since this thread has already drifted completely, just wanted to state that I thought Come Fly with Me was hilarious - especially Tommy working at the airport Burger King because he wants to become a pilot, the drunk captain, and the confused gay FA. Hell, my g/f and I refer to my car as the "pussy wagon". And the scene where Tommy (Matt Lucas) strolls through the airport in his tighty-whiteys after turning in his uniform had me practically in tears - apparently they had to film that on the sly as the airport wouldn't have been too happy if they had known ahead of time.

So yeah, I got the reference. As pointed out, it just wasn't funny.

Cause the thing is, "Great British Air" is a parody. The sense of entitlement so many oxygen thieves have now, isn't.

British comedies are hilarious. Irrelevantly referencing them, not really.

Sorry, single_swine_herder, didn't mean to lump you in with the "everyone equal" crowd. But I stand by my opinion that Canada is fast moving towards a socialist loser victim society. Epitomized by the attitude of the woman in this story.

I don't back the airlines too often, but on this one I have to side with AC. After a couple years of flying the "bus people" around and listening to their entitlement crap I had had enough of passenger flying. And the media loves to create a story. Like the one about the passengers bumped for wearing leggings. The media failed to state that these girls were travelling on an employee pass.
Started in cargo flying and will end in cargo flying. Boxes never complain.
