wow
I can't believe this thread got so many replies so fast! Only threads about buy ppcs are this popular.
But there was some great games then. I haven't tried the new MS Flight Sim.
The other games I played were: (in no real order)
Wolfenstien, Doom, Excite Bike, NSF2, Civilazation by Sid Meir......
But my favorite non flying game was that motorcycle one on Sega Gensis. Road Rash.... that game kicked ass.
But now I have no time for this stuff.
Oh and can't forget Duck Hunt. My folks still talk about that!

Duffman: Hey Duff lovers! Does anyone in this bar loooove Duff?
Carl: Hey, it's Duffman!
Lenny: Newsweek said you died of liver failure.
Duffman: Duffman can never die, only the actors who play him. Ooh yeah!

on my amiga 1000, I really enjoyed f/a 18 interceptor. I also discovered you could actually climb it backwards in flight with full reverse.... Also, after intentionally running the fuel dry, I found that with out engines I could get it to climb higher and higher by diving and climbing... obviously the physics engines weren't all that accurate, but a blast to play nonetheless.

Railroad Tycoon
Police Quest
Leisure Suit L*rry
Need for Speed
688 Attack Sub
and of course the original FlightSim series.
I had (maybe have) all the Police Quest, Kings Quest, Space Quest and LSL ones. I missed those adventure games. The first Need for Speeds were fun too, outrunning the police. Rise of the Triad was a popular one too.

I was raised on . yeager's sim on my apco 286 in CGA green, and also had every version of MS flight sim (maybe that's how I got my instrument scan?). I remember some A10 game that was good too, but can't remember the name.

I had that game as well for the Amiga. It was one of the few flying games that you could actual hand fly without trouble unlike flight sim. i use to bomb around the bay area area then go off and shoot down commie migs. truely a classic game.
