Or maybe because it's not that easy to obtain a t2200 form... Hey if you got it that's great, I believe you, I don't need to call the CRA. If it can help the OP in his situation, even better160tonoaha wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 4:23 pmWell because as is demonstrated by a sample of our aviators on this thread, they can fly airplanes so who needs accountants?twa22 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 8:10 am Just looked at the form, and it's great if you can actually get said form filled out... but i'm sure there's a ton of pilots commuting, so why isn't this more known in the aviation community? I'm sure if employers were willingly giving out t2200 forms, every commuting pilot would take advantage
Also, if an accountant knew a pilot was commuting, they don't have to be a super duper accountant to know about a simple t-slip that can save said pilot a ton in deductions, any accountant should be familiar with all t-slips, that's their job after all
That’s the exact type of attitude that makes it easy for such know it all’s to miss something as simple as a t2200 form.
And wrong - not every accountant knows what’s applicable as they’re used to doing simple 9-5 people’s returns.
Anyway, you got the info now. Don’t take my word, call the CRA if it makes you feel better.
There's no point in continuing this subject, OP got what he was looking for, and everyone can do whatever they want with their own personal taxes
