Sounds like you've never volunteered for a committee before.

Speaking from experience, if you are on a committee the SMALL amount of time you might be lucky to get "paid for"... does not cover in any capacity the amount of work required that goes unpaid.

A lot of guys are there to try to make a difference and want to represent our pilots. Unfortunately those are the guys that got culled.

Make waves, stand up for yourself or our contract and you're gone. Go against the company line on anything and you're gone.

But the actions of silencing critics, abysmal negotiating, questions of voting transparency, contravention of constitution, failing to defend existing CBA articles affecting members, avoidance of alternative ALPA information, failure of grassroots, collusion and inferences of corruption from within ACPA continue - and that’s ok because it is done with a lawyer vetted, diplomatic bulk newsletter?

At some point you have to let go of your hurt feelings and see where the problem continues to be.

Wasn't the MEC Chair trying to sell his app to Air Canada while in his current position? That could be a million dollar deal, so really if you wanted the company to say yes.. wouldn't you use the power you have now to make their life easier (like removing DT from FSD, and low and behold now look at the LONG list of augment that was removed... so much for new fatigue regs).

I never come here anymore but came here now to say this. ACPA is terrible, worse than zero. MEC is in the tank for management. Only possible explanation.
