Can’t speak towards WestJet but with Lynx… flew with them last week on a YUL-YYT return YUL.

6-7 hour delay on the outbound and a 4-5 delay on the way back. Can’t say I was impressed by the lack of OTP, both caused by crewing issues… Lovely gate agents and the stews on board although very “green” to the industry were top notch! (Even though no bottles of scotch were available for purchase! 😞)

Same thing - interviewed on 19 June. Thought it went quite well, and was told I'd hear back within a couple of days. Maybe there are some changes going on in the background... CEO stepping down now.

If you haven't heard anything yet, contact the person who arranged the interview. Things are very busy at the moment. Sorry to keep you waiting.

Hi folks!
Same situation, I had the first stage video interview and HR said that we can move forward to stage two. He said that he will reach me with available days and times for in-person interview by friday (today) but I still have nothing on my email. Hope that they didn’t change their opinion.
Maybe someone can share what kind of questions should I expect during in-person interview with pilots? Highly appreciate all recommendations.

Almost similar situation, all went smooth and good but not heard from them, not even a PFO unfortunately! It's been close to three months now!
Their hiring process isn't the greatest! :?

I finally heard back from a 705 ops (Lynx) I applied to, I was super pumped.
Has anyone had any luck with rescheduling the virtual interview meeting?
I didn’t attend, the gentleman I was corresponding with is ignoring me now.
Hope I didn’t sabotage my chances to interview.

I hope I’m just not understanding the question, that’s it’s simply poorly worded…..

Your question reads like you just did not show up/call in for the interview, and are now confused that you aren’t getting the opportunity to try again?

Or is it missing a detail that you had a valid reason and tried to reschedule in advance, but now are being ignored?

Correct I did not show for teams meeting invite, I would like to reschedule, as indicated the gentleman has ignored my desire to reschedule.

I asked a friend that's in the hiring committee and he explained that they are just busy interviewing people and will get to those that missed their interview once they run out of other applicants. So just sight tight, bud!

Is it normal for them to offer interview then not honour them?

You can ask them that when they reach out again. If you're still interested of course.

Not sure why I’d asked them that if they reach out again. Ignoring applicants interested in a position isn’t very professional.

Completely up to you. You can even chose to ignore them to give them a taste of their own medicine! All you have to do is sit pretty and wait for them to reach out again, just a matter of time.

This industry is too small to burn bridges. People may treat you unprofessionally but it is your choice as to how to respond. It doesn't cost anything to take the high road on these sorts of things and may pay off in unexpected ways down the road.

A few years ago I applied for one of the civilian instructor positions at the KFA operation in Portage. An HR lady called me and basically told me I must be stupid applying for this job with my experience in a conversation that was borderline rude. I kept my tone civil and replied that I was indeed serious and thanked her for responding in person. I then followed up with a brief letter asking that my application be withdrawn and thanking them for considering it.

It is unlikely that if I had been rude right back and told them to take their job a shove it would make any difference in the future but you never know.....

ok wait, did you have a meeting scheduled and you simply didn't show up?

Or did you contact them in advance and ask to reschedule at a later date?
