That centre tank design in a commander is just horrible. Throwing away the extra redundancy (leaks, fuel contamination) you can reasonably expect from a twin.

Also:
Five days prior to their arrival in Rankin Inlet, the crew had placed an order for two 45‑gallon drums of 100LL AVGAS Footnote 2. After landing at the airport, the fuel handler was notified and asked to deliver the drums of 100LL AVGAS.
5 days to get 2 avgas drums delivered in Rankin Inlet sounds about right ;)

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Yes, lets ask a non pilot for expert advice on operating on gravel…..
Can I see your economics degree Rookie? I don't want to take financial advice from an amature :goodman:

Do you see any hard paved area in this photo? Or do I need to be an ATPL to use my eyes?

Tell us more.

Your technique for starting up and operating out of such an airport.

And no googling allowed.
Thanks for moving the goalposts, that's not what cdnavater was asking...

Still waiting on that economics degree proof
