Well no matter how much you guys turn your self from this side to the other side and no matter how many battles you guys run and argue with eachother, no body will come to a conclusion as of what Air Canada's exact hiring policy and procedure consists of. So instead of pissing eachother off here just wait, like many have suggested.
Good Luck, you never know, you could be one of those late bloomers who wait 5 months before being called in for Ground School Don't loose your hopes, and I've said this before and will say it again, Air Canada is not the only airline out there that may please you, at least not for me. I feel a pilot should sure, have a goal, but always look for other and perhaps better opportunities that will claim that goal, not a lot of things in aviation have only "one" road to sucess my man

Have you had a glance at Emirates/Cathay/Lufthansa and airlines out of North America... my impression is that the airline market and industry is doing a notch better overseas

And no, just because you are hired by Emirates doesn't mean you have to live in Dubai, they have other hubs you know ...
Yeah! You guys need to start taking advice from this student pilot, seems to me that he knows everything. C182, how is it that with just 10 hour (or less) in the industry you have such a superior understanding of it compared to everyone else?

well so far i haven't seen your attitude and suggestions contribute anywhere other than negativity... so what are u on about? I have a suggestion and Emirates is a good airline... so I don't understand how it is considered bad advice. Now if you have another general issue with me, then that's another issue, send me a pm and we can settle it.

If your attitude is like this cause some of my posts are just non sense and what not, I am still learning, thanks for pointing it out, perhaps a bit more politely next time.

then maybe you should spend your time in this forum instead.

Flight training forum here.

A forum for people in training. Imagine that.

For the record, the people that are mainly in this forum have been at this flying thing for years and years, and guess what? We are all pretty aware of how things work, and what airlines are out there. To be given career 'advice' from a student pilot can be a bit offensive. Go get your licence, get your first, second, third, and probably fourth job, then come back and enlighten everyone with your words of wisdom.
Good luck.

C-182.

I just posted a response to your red pass question (another thread) 10 seconds ago and now I get to this thread and see people are telling you the same thing.

Dude, see that link above? That's good advice for you. Like I said; open your flight training manuals, get your freakin' licence get a few thousand hrs, then come back here and tell us what it's all about when you know a thing or two.
