No spiral dives on the Commercial Flight Test, there is a spin, but only the incipient stage. If technique os correct for the spin, but it results in a spiral dive, you can announce that it is only a spiral dive and recover correctly for that.

Private Flight Test has no spin, but a spiral dive recovery. Examiner enters it and tells you when to recover. Mine was incorporated into unusual attitudes.

No spiral dives on the Commercial Flight Test

---

How sure are you of that, I didn't see an exerciuse 13 in the comemrcial flight test standards >I have my Flight test hopefully this week< and thought it might have been done in the unusual attidue portion... I tend not to like spins/spirals, but I've gotten better at spins. Spirals... well, they've become less likable. Thanks!

There is no specific spiral dive, but it could come up as an unusual attitude. Not necessarily though, there are lots of other possibilities. Mine was stupid, straight and level, slow speed with full throttle...was actually harder than it should have been , cuz I saw the low speed and automatically pushed forward, then got all screwed up lol.

Thanks, I thought I'd run it by people who are/were 'in the know', in case it was a misprint.
