Well, after 911 and the jobs vanished and all there was for 6000 hours was a Navajo job up north for 30,000/yr, instead of taking the job I did something else that paid much better for 3 plus years.8895 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 6:36 pmThe boomers running ACPA are the reason our wages are so low lol also again, when an airline pilot needs roommates to afford a roof over their head, somethings clearly wrong.cdnavater wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 5:58 pmI love how you younger pilots like to blame us older pilots for your lot in life, remember, you accepted the job and the salary was not a secret. Blame us if it makes you feel better but YOU brought the profession low by accepting, we protected our pay and gave you a choice, you chose the path of low wages.pitottubey wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 10:20 pm
Take your outdated attitude elsewhere. Pilots have nothing but gains to make up today, not continuing to endlessly pay our dues even further. It's people like you who brought our profession so low.
How dare pilots have options and leverage today![]()
If you all said no and didn’t try and justify your choice, seniority blah blah blah, those wages would have gone up ages ago, just saying.![]()
You sound like the annoying boomer captain in the jazz discord chats
Blaming ACPA is deflecting the blame off yourself for taking the job, this is the problem these days, nobody can accept responsibility for their actions, it’s everyone else’s fault.
A pilot should not need a roommate but if pilots keep taking the job for 56k, where’s the incentive for the company to raise the pay, you do have some leverage and maybe you can’t fix the wrongs of the past but for Christ sake, own your decision to work for peanuts, nobody held a gun to your head dude!
Btw, not on this discord chat, I have heard it’s mostly whiny baby’s complaining how hard done by they are
