Personally, I think this was a huge missed PR opportunity by any of the other airlines.
Have marketing send out a top priority blast on every possible platform and mail list stating in whatever manner that weighted pricing is being waived and anyone affected by the strike can book at a standard rate because we've got your back, etc.
I know seats will be blocked because of reciprocal recovery agreements, but hey, do what you can, eat some revenue, and you just won over millions of Canadians for years instead of being accused of gouging.
Likely, the others would almost immediately follow, but that's a win-win for everyone.
Missed the boat there to buy some respect and positive brand association IMO.
Glad we're doing our part during this labor crisis....

What does an airline sell seats at under reciprocal recovery agreements? Is it WJ actually charging AC out the ass to reaccommodate pax?

I can say with great confidence that the deal WS gave to AC on whatever limited capacity was left for sale was pretty much identical to the deal AC gave WS last September.
