Georgi!
Georgianna recommended me for my commercial ride back in May. Later that evening, after I passed, we celebrated both that and her 21st birthday. I just want to thank her for everything she's done for me. She will be missed. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

To all involved especial the family, my deepest condolences. With deepest respect, may I post what I sums up flying to me, and still touches me every time I read it, even after all of these years.
Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds...and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of...wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up, the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, nor even eagle flew.
And while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space...
...put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

nothing yet, I did however see the front page of the Medicine Hat newspaper where it showed the wreckage laying in a group of trees...scary shit.

And here is a link to the latest story regarding the crash:

The story mentioned about a long time byofriend who was also a pilot, does anyone know where he worked? just curious if it was for Bar XH or not.
Fly safe everyone.

My condolences to the family,
I'll miss you Georgi, and the time we spent at 89 together... we both took our first groundschool together.. went to the same high school. One of the nicest people I have met!

The boyfriend did not work for Bar XH, but he is indeed in the aviation industry. I went to school with him for 12 years. All my condolences for Georgianna, her family and friends. I didn't know her but many of my close friends did, and I always heard stories of great times.Fox 3 wrote:nothing yet, I did however see the front page of the Medicine Hat newspaper where it showed the wreckage laying in a group of trees...scary shit.

Although I didn't know this young lady directly, this is another tragic lost here in the west.
Too much trauma and sadness here in the last 12 months. God bless and help her family. No doubt she died doing something she was passionate about, which deserves great respect. But to lose a young life at 21 is unbearable and is something that aviation in western Canada has claimed all too many times.
In our thoughts.

Thank you all for your support during this difficult time.
A celebration of Georgi's life will be held on October 07, 1:00 P.M. at
Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2121 Cedar Hill Cross Road, Victoria, B.C.,
followed by a reception at the nearby University Club. Directions to the club will be provided at the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 89 Pacific RCAC squadron support association, Room 212B 715 Bay Street, Victoria, B.C. V8T 1R1.
Donations will be put toward a bursary fund in Georgianna's name to be awarded annually to a deserving cadet Pilot for advanced flight training.

One year ago today. I miss my daughter so very much.
Many factors, no witnesses. Investigation inconclusive.
Fly careful everyone.

Keith. I do not know your daughter but I know it is painful to lose someone too soon. Thank god we have people like Kirsten that don't stop in their quests for justice to make details of accidents known and bring some closure to those left behind. Also thanks for people like Lil that care enough to care.

Keith,
Theres nothing I can say that will help your pain, but the least I can do is to tell you that the pain we can all feel in your words is evidence of the depth of love you have for her.
I'm truly saddened by your loss, but I know that somewhere she is smiling seeing that love.
She must surely know that she is a sister and a daughter to all of us.

Keith,
I can't imagine the pain your feeling. I am also 21 and at the crossroads of my aviation career. At times I feel like nothing can happen to me in the air and that I'm invincible.
This tragedy is making me realize that it can't most certainly happen to anybody.
Will make sure to be extra careful while flying and while instructing this winter.
Whish you and your family all the best.

Asking a pilot about what he thinks of Transport Canada, is like asking a fire hydrant what does he think about dogs.
