Or the best course of action for people is to actually do research and not be lazy. It’s shocking to me how many repeated questions we have every month. You wanna be helpful @flieslikeachicken, then answer the guys question

How the hell did somebody asking a question on a PUBLIC forum that may or may not have been answered before put a dent in your day to day life? Stop being so grumpy, don't say anything and keep moving along. Like you said, world is dynamic... things change constantly. It's possible the answer to the same question from 3 months ago could be different... now? Say something useful or GTFO, simple.

Or, people can just stop being so lazy and expect all the answers to be spoonfed and do a bit of ever so light research for the answer in a very accessible right in front of their faces.

I just heard back at 10.5 weeks after the interview, 10 weeks after the medical. Email says I didn't pass the interview and that they'll contact me in 6-12 months for another attempt. No need to reapply

Thanks! I think nobody is being lazy im sure we have all read every thread pertaining to our situation. The time line changes every minute so having an updated timeline helps. Its a life changing call we are waiting on and the excitement and nervousness plays on your mind. Waiting months on end it almost feels like something went wrong. Now I know its about 10.5 weeks before you hear anything back. Im at 9.5 and no news yet. One more week!

Exactly. What was true a couple months ago may be completely different already. And it absolutely is a life-changing email.

Nope it's just being lazy. And if the timelines change so fast, what in the f*ck is the point of posting another thread to ask the same old questions when the answer will become obsolete by your definition? Nice logic

I think the point is giving people an idea how long to expect to wait for an answer. I remember after interviewing for my dream job (not AC) I felt incredibly anxious to get the results, to the point that I was starting to feel physically sick about it. I would have loved to have a thread like this at that time to help me relax and realize it does in fact take multiple months for modern HR departments to give applicants a response about their interview. I never would have guessed that was normal.

I have been applying since Irene Fish accepted "snail-mail" applications back in the day..lol
Anyways, ultimately had my interview with two senior Skippers. They actually enjoyed the interview but mentioned that they didn't get to make the final assessment, but rather a "motley crew", consisting of a "hiring board"(whatever that consists of?).. does the final say.
I didn't make the cut..lol, probably due to my response to "do you identify as a visible minority"? In which I acknowledged that i do! I'm a white Canadian!
I think it's hilarious..lol whatever, would have been a substantial pay-cut on my "back 9 holes" of my career.. and an incredibly shitty schedule at my age...but hey, maybe I should claim (age discrimination)..lol Why did I apply? Because I'm looking to move closer to home, no worries, there's many fancy corporate jet jobs available.
