Transport Canada is really missing the boat on this one. They could sell the idea of a credit card licence on these two features alone.Panama Jack wrote:Also works for those hotels where they use the room key light switches (when you leave the room but want to keep the laptop charging).
Remember the good old days when we could short circuit the TV box with our security badge clips and get free movies. That lasted until a few guys left the rooms with their passes still clipped to the box.

lostinrotation is correct.
A plasic credit card, with photo and barcode showing currency, endorsements etc is the way to go.
It is simple, goes in your wallet so you don't leave it behind and contains all the necessaries, and, can serve as a windshield scraper too (Good one!)
The goofy passport style is pre-historic ICAO standard that I first received back in the 50s. So, it has taken TC 50 years to catch on. Ha! It probably costs 10 times as much to produce and reproduce as a plastic card and will look like a rag in no time, even if it does not go swimming off floats. I would never remember to take it with me if I went flying. Just one more thing to remember, not helped by my Alzheimers......now what the hell was I talking about?
Oh, yeah!!! How big is thing gonna be?
I can't wait to throw it on the fire one night as I smoke my daily cigar and sip on my vodka martini.
