That's a very interesting picture. The Otter is under way yet the camera was so fast that the prop looks stopped. The airplane appears to be empty as well so I'm assuming the pilot is either leaning back or is bent over doing something in there.

The most interesting part though, is the boat on the float. One strap on the front and one on the back. This is a picture of a very brave pilot in action! I do hope the side we can't see is better secured and has at least one strap rigged to prevent fore/aft movement of the load.

Well Tofo, why don't you show us some nice pics instead of picking on .. then?

You sometimes sound like "My dad's stronger than yours" dude. Remember, I started this thread which is all about pics from swampers hue?

Example from swamper Stian last night in the Arctic:

let me guess, you fly in BC and it's the most trecherous flying in the entire world

I do appreciate you demonstrating the reason for the BC image.

Tell me again how hard/ special you have to be to fly in BC and how the operators their happened to be so lucky to find you to do the flying.

c'mon admit it you guys, who else here comes on AvCanada just for the privilege of picking up one of the pearls of wisdom that flow like honey from the corners of toto's mouth?

Be honest now.

Hey Tofo,

My brain is racing to tell you in a second language that instead of picking on the coolest people here, post pics or lift off the floor and shut-up.

I am the author of this thread and if I am not nominated a moderator soon, I will ask them on a PM to shut you off.

I am really pissed-off now. I have never read anything close to positive from you yet. If you don't have a constructive or interesting remark to post, just pass and read on. Lots of other guys have something to say.

Please post a nice pic, say something nice, or leave us alone.

Do you get it?

Hey Spinner,

Wow, does that bring back memories.. You know that the current owner of that operation (you know who I mean) has a daughter who is a mother now working for an operator out here as a CSA?? God we're getting old..

For the rest of you (and you know who you are), we all know every region has it's unique difficulties. We also know that it is quite well known around the world that the BC coast is one of the toughest places to make a living in an airplane. If you don't think so, come on out here in January and I'll show you..

Cheers..

I no longer fly but continue to tell people that the dream job to me is flying a beaver on floats on the west coast provided you can:

a) pick your load

b) pick your weather

I have learned to treat mountain flying with respect.

Nice thread. Keep it going.

You crack me up. Carry on, I'm finding you rather entertaining. I've flown all over the place, mountains or not, Canada or not, and mountains of any kind demand a separate skill set in airplanes or helicopters, to think otherwise as you apparently do is nothing short of dangerous. But, I assume you're a Flight Levels/Otto kind of guy, so I don't really expect you to understand. Pretzels or Sesame Snacks????

You are entertaining though, I'll give you that. Nice pics everyone, looks like there's some fun being had out there.

When I was a kid growing up in Chomedy, north of Montreal, there was a guy that had a private single otter on the river. We were about a mile from the rive and I could always tell when he was going flying. He always headed north and climbed out to the west of us.

I was probably nine years old when I went fishing with my dad to Laverendrye Park and we drove to this lake early one morning to fish. Down at the lake was the big blue and yellow Otter. I was a propeller head back then and that was a memorable occasion.

The pic posted by Spinner took me right back there.

Not from a swamper.. Took this on the coast myself.

tofo.. You're nuts buddy. Some of the craziest weather and insane terrain around out in these parts. Go fly a 185/206 up one of the inlets in febuary and tell me differently. Theres lots of bent metal hiding around.. I know from experience
